That travel expert, Simon what’s his name, with a slot on Good Morning reckons the way to beat the 14 day quarantine is to book a day trip to France a day after you return from Spain then come home from France which currently negates the need for the original quarantine.

A bit of a loophole. Eamon and Ruth later sloped the programme’s shoulder and distanced themselves from that advice.

You do know that it costs us to treat EU citizens, it’s right and proper that it continues for both sides and it will. Have you stop taking the tablets you seem to be going all hysterical again.

Passports will be made in France - they will be bleu though!

If the Government keeps to its committments (unlikely) they will have to make up the shortfall in Wales, NI and Scotland.  Add to that our much reduced GDP and there won't be any savings from our contributions to the EU🤪

Let's hope those incoming Hong Kong immigrants want to work in hospitals and care homes.

Booked with them pretty much every year for the last 20, never again.

 

 

We booked with TUI. Every penny refunded no problem.

The infection rate in Spain is ballooning we have a Govt who get slated for doing things too late who for once have acted quickly. We saw how quickly this spread before I do not see how anyone’s fortnight away is worth the risk.  I can see an argument for the islands but imagine there is a lot of traffic between mainland and there.

Not moaning at all. If you care to look through the thread my original beef was the way up published a list of safe countries to travel too on Friday of which Spain was ons. Then less than 24 hours later they were removed from the list.

As I've pointed out the infections in Spain have been going up since they reopened the borders.

Wreaking havoc on the place, slurping cheap Rioja and chomping on microwaved Paella, whilst possibly spreading the virus to a place that's not been badly hit so far..

The advise is not to travel it’s not a rule but advise, therefore I’m breaking no rules. The infection rate is spiking in 3 regions 1000km from where I’m staying, if I went to Blackburn for a break I wouldn’t need to quarantine but going to an area with virtually zero infection rates I’ve got to quarantine, it makes no sense, IATA, ABTA, WHO seem to agree as does every other European country including Germany. I’ll use my common sense and not listen to our governments advise as from all available information it’s a load of bollocks.
