Correct.

My daughter, her husband and our 6 yr old grandchild emigrate in a fortnight and will be taken straight from Sydney airport to quarantine, whilst their cat and dog are whisked away to the same treatment elsewhere.

Lucky buggers. Proper jealous. Wish em well Traf

The federal and state governments are that strict I'm surprised they're being allowed in.

Folk over there whinging about restrictions don't know they're born.

Where is your daughter moving to?

Blacks.

Anyway, I learned a couple of weeks ago that the word 'quarantine' comes from Venetian local dialect which means 4 days,

It originated from the days of the Black Death and anyone coming into Venice had to wait for 40 days on their boats before coming ashore to prove they didn't have it.

Fascinating.

Infections. The death toll has come down considerably but the whole world are counting the infection rate. If it goes too high, other countries will stop us travelling. Whatever we do in this country, we will be controlled by others if we don’t keep it under control.

Most are under 65.

Under 65s are, at the moment, most likely to die in a RTA than from the virus.

Roughly 70 percent of the cases are through household transmission, hence no mixing at home. Yet still it is self isolation in the home that is the remedy. Why not open up the Nightingales and isolate people there so the rest of the household doesn't catch it

We are testing more people so more positive results. Many more people must have it but not tested. Im sure there must be some estimates somewhere that predict the actual number of people infected.
