I'd like to think the British public would never vote for it but I am not so sure.

We don't vote for PMs, we vote for MPs and Rerform just won't get enough to ever see Reform forming a government.

One of my offspring seems to be very good at History academically. We were discussing how important it is, otherwise without that through narrative you are lost, because (and how sad is this) even though she's probalbly end up with an 8 in maths, she thinks the only way to survive is to go into finance! But as I said to her Im always amazed that folk dont know much about where they are from, how it was created and what happened locally.

I said thats why being good at humanities is important, probably the most important thing, because as soon as we forget how we ended up here, dark shit starts happening. Its why people think Islam is a 'backward' religion without how it these counties ended up as they are.

Its how America elects their current leader.

Its why we blame 0.5% of the popultation for all our ills.

Its why we don't hold our leaders into account. Or we do on a tragic level

Its why we think 'every MP is the same' because the voting public looks to simple tweats rather than competence.

Its why we'd rather try and score points online than just listen.

But all of this is interesting.

You lost me there when you became Dennis Hopper’s character in Apocalypse Now :D

I know and living in Chorley it annoys me that this stupid fucking system we have means I don't even get a vote.

But I still think you might be wrong, we as a country are in a world of trouble and are following the US unfortunately.

Still, it will be great to see the amazing progress we will make under Reform and the summersaults made on here when it all goes to rat shit.

I very well might be wrong, but I'll say now Reform will never form a government and Farage will never be PM

It's the hope that kills you.

Its not anachronic. We have a silly state of affairs. The second chamber is still of need of more reform. Thankfully we have the commons.

The states has a great system - they are more engaged with local politics than we unfortunatly are.

1642 - there was a pull from the left - The Leverllers - and then Cromwell was a twat to the Irish. We decided on the Reformation for lack of anything else better.

What a beautiful day that was

I know they were a shite band. But I think it's unfair to blame them for the current debacle!

I hope you are right, but do you mean Farage won’t be PM or Reform won’t win the next GE ? Slightly different.

I think there is the potential for both, he could easily leave before the next GE, if he does, that's a massive problem for Reform.

As Gonzo says above, Reform may have peaked a bit too soon, although, bringing in these new people, they may now start to properly look at other policies other than immigration.

May 7th will be interesting to see how they do in the locals

You’ve been warned

Can you imagine one of our Police Officers saying that 😁   -   America is just bonkers, I'm surprised there hasn't been a load of civil unrest out there yet

Reform peaked last summer.

On a well engineered plateau at the moment. Council elections not interfered with by Starmtroopers may be the next peak in the graph but the greater goal is being approached with surgical precision.

The osmosis will continue. Quietly but relentlessly.

It is simple is it not.

Instead of trying to block federal agents from going about their legal business, stay at home. Your chances of not being shot are greatly enhanced this way.

There'd have been a few notrights killed in Southport if that was the case here. Not to mention Piccadilly Gardens and Ballymena.
