I had a chat with my lad earlier, his 6th form have insisted masks on at all times. Compliance is not an issue. I do think the ethos is set by heads etc, and that will inevitably vary. That's why the measures must be unequivocal if they want consistency.

I doubt there are any supermarket staff policing mask wearing. It isn’t worth the hassle of arguing with someone who by their very actions are probably looking for that argument.

Understandable really given the abuse some staff suffered. Of course its very difficult to enforce, but there is always the risk that not following a law will yield a punishment. If say a copper happened to come into a supermarket for some lunch, he could issue a £200 fine to someone not doing what they should.

I don't want to go down the path of non causal links like they do but I fell down a rabbit hole yesterday and ended up looking at loads of conspiracy/anti-vaxxer accounts on various social media.

The common denominator across all the accounts was that they reeked of sexual frustration.

Refusing treatment is indeed ridiculous, and breaks the hippocratic oath. Wouldn't be the right way to go.

Maybe offer incentives to those that do though.

That said, is it not unreasonable for individual business owners to decide on their own rules with regards to non vaccinated folk. Now necessary for some jobs.

There are no laws to prevent discrimination against smokers for example, so an employer could insist on non smoking employees. I would presume similar could apply to covid.
