My point is that in order to self isolate, they need to get home. Getting home will almost certainly put them in contact with someone Quote

Folk were largely fucking them off any way, as during the summer, cases were relatively low and hospitalisations manageable. If a rule is pushed too far, then it's hard to get it to stick upon reintroduction. Societies differ, and it appears we have one less compliant than many. Blame folk as much as authorities. You once again ignore the suggestion that has been made, that by easing restrictions and getting jabs done early, then large spikes that might be seem in the winter won't occur to the same extent. This is now being borne out in Europe, and underlines the need for boosters here. So you don't consider cases going from very low number in the summer in the UK to 40,000 a day after Freedom Day a large spike. Quote

Not to mention the pressure it will put on the NHS in the toughest months for them if they don’t get on top of it asap Edited November 30, 2021 by Rudy Quote

Casino Posted November 30, 2021 Posted November 30, 2021 Fucking hell Chances are it's something and nothing and could be brilliant news However, it could, however unlikely, be really shit To mitigate the risk, you wear a mask in shops and on trains for a few weeks Fwiw, if they really are worried, the precautions don't go nearly far enough Quote
Casino Posted November 30, 2021 Posted November 30, 2021 I'd definitely not be letting our gammon back in after a holiday Quote

athywhite1958 Posted November 30, 2021 Posted November 30, 2021 I remember going to Manchester Royal Infirmary in March 2020 just before COVID hit us I was watching folk (probably students) near the University wearing masks and thinking "fucking idiots, how stupid do they look", how times change Quote

No, definitely not, I'm saying it's a massive over reaction in the media for 14 cases. I'm saying crack on. You've got jabs if you want em. Nhs isn't getting over run. Mutations generally get more transmissible and less deadly as we progress... Doesn't sell papers to pensioners though so they will whip up any frenzy they can to fill the airwaves. Quote

Ask people who work in the NHS if they feel that’s it’s been over run most of them are struggling mentally or physically or both it’s something most people don’t think about but is a massive problem.
