Just don’t treat those unvaccinated (medical expeditions aside)

Its dead simple. That means we can lift all the restrictions then and duck it off altogether.

Most antivaxxers are of the opinion that their own immune system is all they need, so they won’t be turning up at the hospital anyway.

Been said before, it’s a pandemic of the unvaxxed now. Fuck ‘em.

agree wholeheartedly   let them die. It’s a choice they should be able to make for themselves. But we shouldn’t be suffering because of it.

It won't be like last time, and I've didn't hear any Tesco worker asking anyone to put one on, fella from GMB union on the radio this morning saying they are advising retailers to not police it.

They didn’t last time and they won’t this time. Why would anyone expect a retail staff member to police ask wearing? They aren’t paid enough to become mask police.

We haven't just gone from alpha delta omicron.

We've had a whole range of variants of concern and variants under observation. Published weekly by PHE. Not a blip from the media.

Now every man and his dog jumps on omicron.

Seems legit.

There have been thousands iirc.

The very fact that they don't all become "of concern" is down to the science and scientists. Those that do may then go on to be lessened in concern once they're studied.

They are occasionally mentioned, the beeb did a piece about the whole process. The reason they haven't gone to town is because they're not as concerning.

Now they have one that is, and have responded accordingly, until they learn more.

I don't understand why you seem so opposed to the process.

The fact that not every variant causes changes to restrictions should illustrate that the authorities aren't doing it for some underhand reason.

The sheer number of chemical changes on this one has raised concerns because that very fact makes it harder to predict its nature.

Mask update day 1:

Popped in Tesco, about 6 in 10 where donning a mask.

Work, majority of Students aren't wearing, 2 in 10 are wearing them.

It won't be like last time, and I've didn't hear any Tesco worker asking anyone to put one on, fella from GMB union on the radio this morning saying they are advising retailers to not police it.

Lad's college have had mask wearing protocol since he's been there. Obviously now it's scaled up officially, but if a place wants to be stringent about it, they could be.

That's down to ethos from the top down.

We have security, the kids just tell them they are not wearing them, and you know today's kids, they run education 😁

Bruisers then?

Lads place is totally different from what he says. I think they have a reputation for discipline and performance that they want to keep, and aren't averse to lobbing out certain students.

Purely off comments on reviews mind, but it does tie in with his observations.

I would say 90% plus of those I’ve seen without them on have been <30. The bulk of the remainder >60

Big mixture on the school runs, young mums seem to be the worst for it. I’m at that stage now if you refuse to wear a mask because of “the poisons it creates” or you don’t have a vaccine because of 5G, bill Gates, control chipped etc then I hope every restriction that comes into force hits you hard. I honestly had no idea this many fucked up clowns walk amongst us, social media, for all its negatives, has given us access to this .

Quite.

Talking to the m-i-l before, and here comment was pertinent for me: "the pandemic has brought about the very best in people, and the very worst".

She's right. I've said the same myself.

Not at all, they have their own opinions, we are an outstanding 6th Form College. One of the best in the country, however if you sent Students home for not wearing their mask, there wouldn't be many in and results would suffer.

I get the feeling they've had enough, the councillors aren't taking anymore referrals because they've been unindated with mental health issues this academic year.

We all have opinions. They shouldn't take precedence over rules though. That's not a civilised society.

Iad's place isn't sending them home for not wearing them: they don't appear to need to, as he says compliance with the college rules is high. I've no doubt that reminders are needed on occasions, but if things were untoward he'd have said.

You should show her the Brexit thread then...

No matter what the setting, if the rules say you cover up, you cover up.

No exemptions.

Yep.

A bit like speed limits; one near me seems bonkers considering the road. But they've laden it with speed bumps and made it 20. I don't go driving down it at 30 or 40 though because it doesn't seem to make much sense.

In all this business, whether we think a particular measure is warranted or not, one thing I fundamentally belive is that the authorities are doing what they see as the best thing at the time.

Might seem stupid later but we all learn and arguably the quickest way to learn is for folk to do as asked so that an assessment of its success or otherwise can be made.

If folk go their own way, then it's difficult to judge.

If it wasn’t for the shocking amount of money Boris let his cohort of dung munchers steal, he’d have a fair amount of my sympathy around Covid. Probably reacted too late initially but a lot of that is down to Britain in general being a liberal gaff.

He can’t win whatever he does and whilst his motives are usually self-driven, he’s never going to please everyone anyway so he may as well just bumble along.

Still a giant amongst cunts.

Aye. Think this is the first thing the gobshite has got the right during this whole shitshow.

The kids at Grey's school sound like jumped up little cunts.

Free thinkers.. 😁

In fairness, must be difficult at times for education establishments. Regulations and irate parents probably don't mix too well. Doesn't stop a few of them having a moan on breakfast TV though.

Big thing with the mental health caper. You consistently tell people it’s ok to not be ok etc then more people will feel it.

Its not a Criticism it’s the reality of what’s going on. I can see where he’s coming from on this.

I also used to live round there so your point could as likely be valid haha
