There's been a few notables missed recently but Nik Turner from Hawkwind died last week. Bloke at work knew him and I'd done some stuff for him so was closer to home than normal, loved performing and even up until the last few years was always trying to get a gig.

Radio 2 pays around £130 to play a 4 minute song on the radio.

Radio 6, however, pays around £28 for the same.

Its all a bit wacky.

But it’s perfectly likely that someone with any kind of writing, ownership, copyright  or production connection to a song will get some dosh
