jmjhb Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 I make that 5 goals for Baka after the 80th min in the last 8 games Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 My prediction of baka finishing top scorer is still on. Even if there isn't too much to play for, at least a bit of a competition up front should keep them motivated to score goals. Quote

jules_darby Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 That’s one of the worst games of professional association football I’ve ever seen Kidded myself at HT that against the wind and without the sun on our eyes we’d play football unlike the first half and pass them off the park 2nd half. Deluded clearly. One thing you can say this is that this team of ours so often keeps going til the end. i thought JDB was our best player and unlucky to go off, especially for a like for like, but Mr Evatt got it right (again) given the goal and result. Felt sorry for Sadlier; seemed more a RB with Aimson behind him. I’d like to see him as a 10 for Dapo or as the RWB with Jones behind him to give him a fair shot. all interesting for next season. And another pitch we’ve visited 😇 Quote

FrancisFogarty Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 Dapo is better out wide. Don't know about today, but last week we were better when he gave CD and JDB more room and a bit of service. Quote

Wide left or sub for me Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 Dapo had dried up a bit wide left though. Teams sussed him a bit. From time to time he's played some lovely balls through for strikers whilst in a deeper position. I'd be interested to see the number of assists and chances he's made in a central role as opposed to his wide one. Perhaps the issue is more complex though- again only 2 midfielders today, with Sadlier replacing fossey. So long as we win, then I suppose its fine, but I felt that last week, against a better side, it did us no favours. More specifically on Dapo, he definitely seems a confidence player and sometimes his shoulders slump and his body language can be a bit off. A goal would see him right. Â Quote
Burndens Bogs Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 Dapo’s not played well for weeks, he’s due a spell of coming on from the bench, but put him out wide. Quote
jules_darby Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 We missed Fossey’s pace Alot and I like Sadlier think he’d be better at 10 though  Quote

Seeing as the season seems to be easing into mid table mediocrity, maybe it's time to give Sadlier and Dempsey as bit of a run. See what they can give us as we plan for next season  Quote

FrancisFogarty Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 Agreed Dapo is just short of a goal but I think he’s more likely to get one coming in from wide. Maybe a day on the bench would do him good. Quote

Rizlar Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 Agree with most Dapo not a 10 and Sadlier not a wing back get jones back play 4 at the back Dapo out wide with either Sadlier or Dempsey through the middle. Quote
barrycowdrill Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 Any adjustment that takes Aimson out of the equation will do me for. Absolute clogger fear for MJ too. Don’t get me wrong the impact he made last season and the extra level of protection he brought in was superb. There’s probably many reasons he wasnt getting a look in at blackpool at this level and I think we’re starting to see some of them. A yard off at best for starters.. Quote
embankment Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 What a great day out . Last minute winner !!. Early start , disaster no rattler from Howfen . Jumped a taxi with the Dog to Trinity Street. Grumpy Bat , Sputnik , Pinocheo's Dad , Ju's Jugs , Barney Rubble, F1 guy and the Offspring. Once again rattler cancelled ended up on the Dogdale train to Victoria. Route march to Piccadily. 9.01 to Crewe. Early Dart and Mr Smith waiting at taxi rank . NO bloody taxis !! Blagged a lift to Nantwich and The Railway Hotel . Full English all round . Decent pints. Whispering Bob arrived and took us on a tour of Nantwich pubs ,prior to getting Buzz to Crewe . Phone call from Ashburner St , thankfully Jeep and the 2 musketeers had took him under their wing . Straight into the Brunswick, Wanderers in full voice . Excellent buxom barmaids . Onto the stadium, Ashburner St returned to the fold . Non eventful first half but the appearance of Swedish Al at halftime was a pleasant surprise. 2nd half was like pulling teeth , but Bakayoko raised the roof . Bolton's finest in full voice. Back to the Brunswick, great ale ,Mikkey D on form. Mikkey D's entourage handing out Donner Kebabs to the starving masses ( Well The Dog ). Tried 2 other pubs but they were garbage. Onto the train station, The Dog and Embankment grabbed the Pie Eaters rattler. Wanderers fans in full voice. Yes Crewe is a belting day out. Ju's Jugs and the Offspring a very welcome addition to the group. Roll on the Superwhites.  Quote
