That was horrendous

Scenes when the goal went in

Don't get the pitch Invasion while we're 10th ffs

Some our younger supporters have watched horrendous football for the last 8years . They could easily have gone on to follow the mcr clubs or even the pies. But no they have chosen Bolton.  Last minute winner, its what away days are all about . Players celebrating with the fans .

No I don't agree with the nob head behaviour some of them have got involved in ( marching powder etc)

But most of them just want to enjoy the day out , singing songs about latter day heroes and todays team. Always recording it to spread the word.

Yes I do think the majority would  disperse like a flock of pigeons if confronted by a group of fruit loops from another club.

In years to come when the AHM , The Musketeers and my self  are no longer around these kids will be long term season ticket holders .

Selling out away games 11th in the 3rd division it's fantastic.

COYWM.

Trains were a mess all day, first two from Leeds cancelled so had to go via Victoria, pretty tight on connection to Nantwich but that was cancelled anyway ! So just went to Crewe. Afterwards the delay had helped us as we got the quick train back but it took 25 minutes or so to set off, then initial train was also cancelled but next was pretty soon after. So 4 cancellations on the day.

Rest of day was fine , game boring, pub fine, chippy good, curry when back good.
Saw a few off here. Think the pubs of Crewe would make more money if the employed more bar staff.

First pub we went in one of the bar staff was nipping to the off-licence for bottles only 1pm!, I’m guessing most Saturdays them pubs are pretty dead it must be a good payday when the big teams come

It’s a tremendous finish from Baka, fired in at him almost behind him only one place he could put it.
Top lad Baka

It was also superb by Johnston to keep it alive

Did their keeper get a touch on the FK before it hit the post? I can’t tell. Sensational save if so. As was the one from Dapo’s header.

Thought the keeper and that little lad Lowery were their best players yesterday.

I’d much rather have Morley. that’s said he seemed to be very deep too often to influence the game as he’d like yesterday

We got off the train and walked straight passed the 2 pubs where everyone just pitched up. Few hundred yards further on little micro pub that was easy to get served, sat outside with a proper pint glass. Belting

What a great day out . Last minute winner !!.

Early start , disaster no rattler from Howfen . Jumped a taxi  with the Dog to Trinity Street.  Grumpy Bat , Sputnik , Pinocheo's Dad , Ju's Jugs , Barney Rubble, F1 guy  and the Offspring.

Once again rattler cancelled ended up on the Dogdale train to Victoria.  Route march to Piccadily.  9.01  to Crewe. Early Dart and Mr Smith waiting at taxi rank . NO bloody taxis !!

Blagged a lift to Nantwich and The Railway Hotel . Full English all round . Decent pints. Whispering Bob arrived  and took us on a tour of Nantwich pubs ,prior to getting Buzz to Crewe .

Phone call from Ashburner St , thankfully Jeep and the 2 musketeers had took him under their wing .

Straight into the Brunswick,  Wanderers in full voice . Excellent buxom barmaids .

Onto the stadium,  Ashburner St returned to the fold .

Non eventful first half but the appearance of Swedish Al at halftime was a pleasant surprise.

2nd half was like pulling teeth , but Bakayoko raised the roof . Bolton's finest in full voice.  Back to the Brunswick,  great ale ,Mikkey D on form.

Mikkey D's entourage handing out Donner Kebabs to the starving masses ( Well  The Dog ).

Tried 2 other pubs but they were garbage.  Onto the train station,  The Dog and Embankment grabbed the Pie Eaters rattler.

Wanderers fans in full voice.

Yes Crewe is a belting day out.

Ju's Jugs and the Offspring a very welcome addition to the group.

Roll on the Superwhites.

Our plans revolved round meeting in the Railway in Nantwich. Trains screwed us over.

Apparently the 17.11 was overloaded hence the delay

I felt a bit sorry for those who were on that train before it pulled in to Crewe.
90% of those who got on at Crewe won't have had a ticket for that train. They'd have been on cheapo off-peak returnd not covering Avanti trains.
I've asked for a refund.

Aye paying top dollar coming back from London and having that

Something to do with weight distribution if you don’t catch covid off that you never will

Despite the trains and one or two knob heads it was a good away day.

I’m going to stick up for Dapo and Aimson. Dapo was better than Charles yesterday, he looked good on the ball, hit the post, great save stopped his header.

Aimson is a very good defender and while he may not be as comfortable on the ball as Santos, his reading of the game, physical strength, timely tackles and headers, for me puts him ahead of Johnstone If we were to go 2 CBs in a 4.

Also never was there just short of 6k on

No doubt accurate for ticket sales, but couldn't blame a few Crewe S/T holders if they gave the game a wide berth.  A hopeless league position and apparently broke their record for most ever consecutive home defeats (7).  And knowing they would be outsung and almost outnumbered wouldn't help.

Thats what we said - 500 behind goal - 1000 in main stand????

Still - 650 more reported than the game against championship chasing Wiggin

Agree on Aimson, looks a very reliable defender.  Distribution is decent for a centre back but he's being asked to do far too much passing and creating in this system given he's basically a defender.  Imagine if Wheater, Beevers, Mills, Knight etc had been asked to do the same.  Johnstone far more comfortable at the creative stuff, very talented on the ball, but ask him to win defensive headers and he comes up short, literally.  We aren't likely to find someone that can do it all at this level are we?
