Thomason won't play again this season with that injury. It was right in front of us, I knew he was goosed when he went down.

Never want to see any player injured, and I’d much prefer to have a fit Thomason in the squad than not, but this will at least mean that Evatt is forced to play MJ - and in my opinion we are a far better and more balanced team with him in centre mid (and looked it last Saturday).

Just to reiterate, that is not meant to sound like I’m happy that Thomason is now unavailable!! 

It is a shame for Thomason but i agree that MJ is a perfectly good replacement ,but missing Santos, Dempsey & Bod  who ,for me, are first choice players, could weaken us.

In fairness we can probably cope without George but Bod & Rico are bound to be missed , Dempsey will also be an option less from the bench at least.

We still have  Morley , MJ , Lee , Sheehan , Sadlier, Dapo  capable of playing in midfield , maybe a more settled team selection will emerge.

See for me, the previous MJ would be. This season though he's not been as good and Thomason has warranted his place. We are more balanced with him because it puts a left footed midfielder in there who is naturally comfortable on that side. Tried Morley there and defensively, that simply doesn't work.

Hopefully though, MJ can step in fairly seamlessly.

Well looking at the weather now and the forecast over night I think it highly unlikely this will be on. Once the ground gets frozen there’s no way it will soften with these day time temperatures. If it’s touch and go I’d rather it was off anyway than risk more possible injuries.

Times like these put in perspective.

Could be talking about a local Sunday league game, with the pitch potentially being called off, not in modern day professional football. 

But we are here for a reason!
