So if they stood with clenched fist raised and announced that this is the Kick it Out you’d be happy?

No. Don’t want any political gestures at the match, they can take time out to go and demonstrate with other like minded folk, but they won’t because to busy playing Xbox or taking selfie’s.

They’re linking arms (beefers) at tonight’s milwall game, let’s keep it at that, get the clubs, media FA etc to say this is our new stance against racism. Jobs a good un

What does she think of players taking the knee getting booed?

Not spoken about that particular incident as its that far detached from her and theirs every day life we may as well be talking about martians.

As is making footballers kneel down to in some way speak for her and apparent social disadvantages that dont exist.

As Ive said, kneeling makes the situation more polarised and draws attention to a divide that in most walks of life isnt there.

I dont look at her as black, just another human being and family member, same as any other person of race in my life and Im sure the bulk of the population do.

How is standing against racism a political gesture?

In fact, that can be the Premier League and EFL’s new banner;

TOGETHER, WE STAND AGAINST RACISM.

That way, all those not wishing to join Incan stay in their seat.

People see the kneeling as support for BLM. Many have seen what the BLM movement did this summer and are therefore against it.

Kick it out was for all races and religions, so why change it?

"Not Today or Any Day" while a shit slogan, does just that, doesn't it?

I'm surprised considering some folk think this is an oppressive message, being constantly forced down their throats on a daily basis... clearly it's not being pushed enough.

Mounts sums it up about right - "Shut up, stay in your place, don't disturb my afternoon out".

So the total commercialisation of the game , the moving of kick off time and dates to suit television , the millions being spent on agents, the sanitisation of the match day experience, tickets prices going through the roof all of those you have continued to support the club. But players taking a knee for 5 seconds whilst you are finishing your pint will force you to stop going the match ?

I could always change my allegiance to the Wall.

That'll be a test for the Millwall fans.

The optimistic part of my brain says they will clap it - in what would be a decent gesture and go part way to demonstrating that this was never about ethnicity it was about BLM's perceived motives.

Let's see what happens!

I love an optimist and this will clearly test their grey matter.

So there should be no booing tonight. I can already hear the excuses if there is.

There will be, sadly.  We both know that a section of millwall (and other clubs) fans are racist. Let’s not try to hide this fact. There are some that cannot support a show of equality or kick it out sentiment as it betrays their own deep rooted prejudices.

Millwall has never been a racist club, the Den was the first ground i went to where there were large numbers of black supporters & when the NF were recruiting football fans, they were chased away from Millwall.

Even before Saturday's game, Millwall supporters made it clear that they would not accept their players " taking the knee " because it is a clear sign of support for the BLM scum.

Tonight, if the Millwall players stand & there are no black power salutes or signs of BLM  , I would expect the Millwall fans to respect any non-political, anti-racist message. We'll see.

This tells a different story. Note the Bolton players singled out.

Marvin Sordell racism: Millwall fans shamed again by 'Sordell is a c***' banner | Daily Mail Online

Sordell took to Twitter after the Millwall match last month to claim himself and team-mates Lee Chung-young, Darren Pratley and Benik Afobe were subjected to racist taunts.
