  1. I haven’t used the NHS much over my 62 years, thankfully, but I’ve had a couple of issues at the same time over the last 4 weeks and, having called 111, being hardly able to breathe, went to A and E at 03.30, last Friday morning, worried and scared. 12 hours later, I left with a (probable) diagnosis and a treatment plan. It took a while, but to go straight through, with various tests along the way, has made a huge difference, hopefully, to my health, but also to our peace of mind. After A and E, I went into BCAU, which is amazing facility, with all the facilities, it seems to me at least, to take me in, or send us home with a treatment plan. It also helped that the people were helpful, and really caring. Really impressed and proud to have such a facility.

  2. Are grown men still grinding their teeth over grown men choosing to take knee voluntarily? Are grown men still acting like any of it is forced or mandated by an invisible government of darkies who are threatening to imprison those who don't? Are grown men, adult men, actual fully grown human beings, still waving their fists at the telly every time they see a footballer get on one knee for a few seconds before a game? Fucking. Wow.

  5. You just don’t understand trickle down economics. Think of all the philippino domestics that the money she extorted from the taxpayer can pay for. And even though they only work on her offshore properties and boats, eventually that money will trickle down into the prepayment meters of our NHS staff. So shut up right?

  10. It was utterly blatant. You always get bad eggs in every government regardless of the colour of their rosette but this has been the worst for cronyism, corruption and downright shithousery.

  13. An increase in reporting doesn't necessarily mean an increase in abuse. It just means more abuse is being reported. Maybe the taking of the knee has got more people thinking that they shouldn't tolerate racist abuse like they used to. Or maybe not. Who knows. You obviously have your own agenda though so crack on.

  14. I'm not reporting anything mate. Never have on here and likely never will. It's hard to tell on a football forum, where you can't use tone, whether it's a joke or not. Especially as folk will know each other. I'll leave that to the mods to decide. Same goes for all the traveller stuff. So not sure what you're getting at to be honest? You seem to have it in your head I'm a moral crusader. Reality is I'm more up for people having another chance than them being cancelled.

  15. Yep. I guessed that. Playing devils advocate. Most people on here know who said it though and took it as a joke. I did. Ricky Gervais wouldn’t last a minute on here if it was up to some people. No names.

I saw a footballer yesterday make the sign of the cross before, during and after the game he was playing the fucking PIG Now, I can't stop thinking about Jesus and God and priests and whether they'll all be coming round to my house at the weekend and dragging me to church behind a pick up truck. IT NEEDS TO STOP BEFORE WE ALL FUCKING DIE

  19. For me racism is either hateful or ignorant. In this instance the Lady in waiting was IMO ignorant rather than hateful so an apology covers it. If the palace decide that if she makes mistakes like this it is time for a new role then fair enough. Given the woman was wearing traditional dress the question 'where' are you from seems reasonable as not all black people come from the same place so understanding and appreciating the differences and diversity is surely a good thing. What is pretty ugly on this thread is that the victim has been pretty vilified by some, if that is the reaction when someone raises an issue it can not be right. 'If she was dressed like that she was looking to get a reaction' sound bit like the attitude there used to be to rape victims. I know that might sound over dramatic and am not comparing ignorant words to rape but the comparison with the treatment of victims is comparable IMO.

  29. If they changed the eligibility criteria to only being allowed to play for your country of birth an African nation would have won it years ago. This year, Saka and Musiala would both be playing for Nigeria for example and historically Desailly, Evra, Makelele, Vieira, Benteke and a host of others would all be playing for African nations. Even Wilf Zaha was born in Cote D'Ivoire FFS. Similarly how many Turks and Albanians have played for Germany and Switzerland? Loads is the correct answer. If the criteria was the country your parents were born in, half the current French squad, Mbappe included would be playing for an African nation. Raheem Sterling was born in Jamaica BTW. When Pele predicted that an African nation would win it, he didn't allow for the fact that anyone who is any good at football is snapped up by a European club at an early age and then qualify to play for their host nation via residency - so "the emerging nations" don't have much chance - just as BWFC have no chance of snapping up the best young prospects. It's not a level playing field - and it could all have been a very different story.

If he's on "some sort of breathing apparatus to assist him" then he must be pretty poorly. At best he'd be on something called CPAP or BIPAP. I'm hoping he's just on a bit of oxygen or maybe a nebuliser and that it's not actually assisted him with his breathing per se. As in, he's breathing fine by himself but just needs oxygen support.
