Around £200 return with railcard Piccadilly to Exeter St David’s so I’m thinking of driving.

Long drive there and back same day

about 2 hours from me

Did Bournemouth and back on the Tuesday 27th then Hull and back on Friday 30th April 1993. Exeter’s a doddle.

Sorted - what a surprise there was no mad scramble for tickets this morning 😊.

Bristol priority for those going to Exeter? 🤗😂

Easter jaunt down in Devon for our clan. Driving from London on the Monday staying down South.

Exeter easier than Bournemouth for sure but make sure you allow time to get in from the motorway. Its roads are seriously shit and rush hour can be standstill . Park and ride near services but still buses get stuck in single lanes to centre.

wankers should share with chiefs when big game in town

Not properly checked it out yet. We’re staying in the aptly named seaside village of Beer. So looking at trains out from Axminster (I think) into Exeter, does that sound about right with your Devon expertise?

What’s the craic getting back to the station. Short ish walk? Train looks like 17:27 only chance of being back home Friday

Also need to find out if it’s to be a Friday service or a Bank Holiday (Sunday) service

Good choice mate, almost in Dorset.

yes, you would have to get to Axminster to pick up train, with benefit that there is a stop at the ground on that route
