When I got word that only 1460 ish tickets were available ( given my expectation was many more ) I decided not to bother , believe it or not based on the fact that I might be depriving the ‘hard core ‘ of tickets . I remember the ’ Executive Suite’ at Burnden , what a fucking group of hangers on they were , I worked with a guy who never ever paid for a ticket all the time I knew him . As for away matches it was just as corrupt then as it is now , I guess it’s just life . Got invited many times as a freebie to the ‘ Excutive Suite ‘ but always refused .
