There’s so much as fans we don’t know/understand, so I often get irked when some like to think they know better. But on occasions like this the second guessing and reaction to some of the stories/non-stories is natural as we are all emotionally invested. So when we are reading about controversial decisions being made which seem pointless, gutless, avoiding the issue and anything but progressive, it’s as you say sending out shitty signals and making us look desperate. I would love nothing more than a 5-0 win Saturday, which sparks an up turn in results (which would then throw a very strange light on Craddocks and an analysts negative input which needed ridding) But I’m past that happening now, surely everybody is. Those 2 aren’t the problem. He’s not getting those players playing for him now, if anything these decisions will alienate some even more. Quote

It had a massive difference in the pressure on him Quote

I'm thinking of this from a purely business perspective here, but if someone has written warnings they can terminate contract without paying off? So Evatts said its down to coaching, and by getting new staff in they are ticking that off, then if no improvement can get rid? I know football clubs aren't businesses but that's the route companies normally go down to ensure that staff are given chance to improve before being ditched.?? Quote

I did say there “seems” to be. Come on mate I’m usually one of the realistically positive ones on here and have shared your positive outlook a lot in the past. As Gonzo and Casino said it’s been reported by Iles, I’m not responding to some of the other crazy claims. Quote
VividDreamer Posted September 16, 2024 Posted September 16, 2024 I keep reading that the players aren’t playing for him and seem to have downed tools yet every single interview from the players they are speaking highly of Evatt and fully backing him. “The manager was a big part of my decision to join” is also regular quote from new players. personally I feel that there is something serious happening in Evatts personal life, he seems almost depressed at times. Where is the fighting talk from IE that we heard all the time in his first couple of years. Quote
gonzo Posted September 16, 2024 Posted September 16, 2024 Players can say what they want. They downed tools on Saturday 100%. It was clear as day. Quote
Lt. Aldo Raine Posted September 16, 2024 Posted September 16, 2024 It's a poor do if it is as reported Supposing Craddock is the reason for the failures so far - he isn't - it doesn't shine a good light on this summer's "root and branch" review Quote
