Feel like the academy staff will just put us out as Evatt would have done 3-5-2 or 3-4-3

but would love to see us try

.                   baxter

    Cogley santos johnston Schon

.          Morley    Sheehan

.  Tutu           Randall       Collins

.                   McAtee

Really?

Two central defenders, and a full back.

Worse than Evatt.

Schon and Tutu allowed to do what they are best at- futher forward.

New lad at left back, and either Cogley or Forester on the right.

Bare minimum for defensive players.

Even then, not enough.

Whoever in goal

back 3 if all fit Toal Santos and….Cogley !! ( I know no one else will agree with that one 😁 and would have no problem if the lad from Newcastle played as the left of 3 - but have never seen him play)

Tutu and Schon as wing backs

Midfield 3 GT Morley and Sheehan

Then Collins with Randal just behind.

Well I don’t, these lot are average at best and I can’t understand why so many just think it will be a walkover for them. If we turn up we’re better than they are and I genuinely believe, like Evatt or not, a huge weight will have been lifted off the players shoulders and they’ll be going out all guns blazing to prove themselves. More to the point their recent home record is nothing brilliant either so no reason we can’t go and keep it that way.

Did you watch us at bottom half Rotherham? 😀

If Huddersfield are "average at best", I'm not sure what Cambridge and Charlton are!

We aren't very good, that's why we've potted our manager to hopefully improve, but it will take more than just trying a bit harder and will take time before we can take on the better teams properly.

Matete banned for three matches

Well deserved for that snidey bollocks. Dennis Unwise

Was watching him during the warm up and he looked like he had a proper cob on.

I think that was Tutu who was arguing with their left back.

My 80 year old Dad 'accidentally' mixes up his black players too! 🙂

Just a bit of wind, nowt to get excited about.

I've just been out with the dog and expected something spectacular, but I wasn't blown away with it.

Not like we’re defending well with 3 central defenders and two wingbacks😂.

Perhaps the reason we’re shipping so many goals is that we invite pressure on ourselves by fucking around with 3 CBs for half the match who can only play it out to a lone wingback who gets pinned easily. Or they try and ping diags that rarely work. Meanwhile all the CMs do is provide a bounce pass back to the goalie or CB. And the cycle starts again.

would much rather Sheehan and Morley get on the ball in those positions and try to break the lines.

I forgot about the new lad tbf but no clue how good he is. Agree Schon is better attacking than defending but personally would have no qualms with him at left back. He has good recovery speed and can defend better than Randell Williams imo. (Attacking full backs are also very useful for providing overloads and helping create goals imo). Cogley on the other side is a bit more safe and defensive, let Tutu do the attacking for him since he likes to try and beat a man.

We don’t have a proper DM hence the double pivot. Sheehan made about 5 or 6 clearances alone vs Charlton btw so he can defend if needed. Not saying it’s his strength but feel like we HAVE to try something different.

Thomason puts a tackle in but he looks knackered and has gone off the boil. Matete banned, so I’d play our two current best CMs being Sheehan and Morley.

anyway I’m talking into the void here, just thinking out loud and desperate for us to switch it up tactically cause 5atb is doing my nut in.

I bloody hope not.

Same old.

Of course they might be more up for it, but I'd like to see an attempt to tighten things up somewhat.

A draw would be a fine result, and something hopefully to build on.

GT Morley and Sheehan have not started a game together this season.

Apart from Tuesday!

It's still same old!

The formation that's let us down this season.

Only one remotely defensive minded midfielder.

Wing backs that are weak defensively.

Fair point on Tuesday but that performance was miles ahead of last few weeks.

Not sure which defensive minded midfielder could go in there or which wing backs we could use.

We need Santos or Toal playing as the team midweek was shortly short of height.

No coincidence terrible headers, or lack of, led to both goals
