Zog1 Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Schumacher has some how recreated Evatts tactics but with more cutting inside XD Can we not just have a normal manager. Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 13 Posted January 13 What constitutes a "clear chance"? One of those mystical stats. Just been looking at them on BBC website. Too much analysis by computer- fans' eyes see what it is. Quote

bwfc4ife Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Switch it to a 433 at half time and see what happens Quote
boltonboris Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Wow. That was awful. Walking football. The drop off in intensity in the last few weeks has been absolutely incredible. The all look fed up and they’d rather be somewhere else. They’re stood still with the ball in the middle of the park and when we lumber over eventually to do a half press they pop it around us. The shape is awful and the intensity is just… well, there is none. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted January 13 Posted January 13 this performance beggars belief…it has sacking written all over it. Quote
Whitesince63 Posted January 13 Posted January 13 I didn’t think we could be much worse than Saturday but I was wrong. This is utter dross, what on earth has happened to these players they’re just giving nothing. Quote

Zog1 Posted January 13 Posted January 13 (edited) Unlike Evatt i like Schumacher as a bloke, i just cant get it though my head why you would use tactics entirely different the ones that already got you promoted from this same league, it's madness. It smells of a manager who's counted his chickens before theyve hatched attempting to look good for his next move up, remember he made it clear of his ambition to manage Everton. I know it’s difficult to tell, because of how bad it is, but I had it down as Sheehan as pivot, with Simon’s left CM / Morley is right CM and Forss / Gale either side of Dalby Quote

Zog1 Posted January 13 Posted January 13 It's not 1993 anymore the formation is just a tiny part of the tactics and is in many cases is basically irrelevant. Quote

They’re running inside thinking they’re prime Salah when the reality is they’re bang average league one footballers. Goals from Burstow, Forss and more recently Sheehan all from cutbacks. The constant running inside is giving our strikers no service and making us very easy to defend against. Quote
Stig Posted January 13 Posted January 13 There's quite a lot of looking disappointed/fed up when the pass doesn't come, but no shouting or getting angry that the pass hasn't come. Almost like they're all a bit resigned to it Quote

deeane Koontz Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Gale cutting inside and shooting every single time. Quote
ianofcleveleys Posted January 13 Posted January 13 We just won the ball back after they cleared a corner, Sheehan had a straightforward opportunity to put it back in to 4 men still in box and chose a square pass instead. Malaise spreading like wildfire. Quote
meanderson93 Posted January 13 Posted January 13 If I never see Taylor kick a ball again after this it'll be a too soon, he is utterly gross, I know it gets banded about a lot and we've seen some shite the last 10 years but he is one of the worst I've seen. Quote
worthy10 Posted January 13 Posted January 13 In terms of sell on or return, we have not 1 player who is getting a 7/10 currently. For a fan and a manager, the drop in energy and confidence is a big worry. And as a few have said, what's happened to us? Quote
