Any ideas what time the final is due to kick off this season?

Not announced yet, but with final day of PL kicking off at 4 theyll want the L1 game out the way including any extra time etc, so I'm thinking 1230 or 1. Shite.

At least thereโ€™ll be no problem getting a train home.

Train companies will find a way to ruin the whole day for whoever makes the final!

Imagine Bolton & Stockport fans all on the same trains trying to get to Wembley for a 12.30 kickoff on a Sunday. Avanti are sure to fuck it up.

Fit or not he's also not done enough to suggest he's our best option anyway.

Last three appearances...

Wycombe (h) - Taken off after 64 minutes (score 0-2)

Rotherham (a) - Taken off after 45 minutes (score 0-2)

Port Vale (a) - Taken off after 61 minutes (score 0-1)

We've kept three clean sheets with him in the side - Wimbledon, Northampton at home (shit result, hooked after an hour) and Mansfield away (vs ten men).

Doesn't scream defensive solidity and can't do half of what RR does going forward.

I'm convinced it's a myth that Erhahon offers some sort of defensive cover.

For every time I've seen him put in a successful tackle I reckon there's a matching scenario where they've gone through him like he's a fucking hologram.

Struggling to see what he brings.

Also convinced that suggesting Erhahon replaces Sheehan in any scenario is the first sign of madness.

I love delusion.

Both have roles to play so letโ€™s find them.

Well one small problem with that is the first train is 8am and with the Sunday noise restrictions in place takes 3hrs so doesnโ€™t land in to Euston until 11am

Maybe time for 1 drink before your en route to the ground. Shite. Plus itโ€™s already about ยฃ120ย

edit: united potentially passing through going to Brighton, Everton down the Liverpool route and Leeds & Newcastle going down the other sideย

He's another of those who's built up mythical status through not playing.ย

Whatever it was that he was brought in to be I've not seen enough of it.ย

He's not an enforcer, a protector of back 4s or a box to box type, and can't sustain what he does do for more than 70 minutes without starting to run through treacle.

He has a nice left foot, looks after the ball well and can pick a pass now and then but that's about it. Lincoln haven't crumpled in a heap without him.

SS thought it bad enough after the Vale game to go direct.....Sheehan had a very quite game. Sheehan is one of our better players but at times its Horses for courses......If it was Port Vale in the play-offs would you play him if we was protecting a one goal lead?

In a nutshell? Yes.

Right now, I'd pick Sheehan for every game he's fit for.

This cowfield at Bradford; is it the same cowfield that the lightweight Cissoko dribbled their full back to death on?

Cissoko is a enigma, but he is hitting a rich vain of form......Sheehan is not the player away he is at home.

I think SS thinks more along your line of thought so i do not think you have anything to be concerned about.

EE has imo been a disappointment this season but that for me is because I had high expectations. He rarely gets forward and is very one footed.

However even in a two he is more left sided and that is where we are most vulnerable.ย
ย

Hard to see him being risked after injury in a play off game when we other options in midfield. If we were up after first leg I would have no issue playing him in a three with Sheehan and RR. But doubt that is the SS plan. Just being up after first leg would be great ! Can worry about formations later !ย

I had great expectations this season for EE but he has really not got going. Dalby was the same but he raised his game and got himself fit where as EE just gone from one niggling injury to the next. He would have been ideal in a Evatt team, but when we only have two midfielders i am not sure what he can offer in that set up, RR has moved ahead of him and unless he gets his head down pre-season i am not sure he will be anything but a bit part player.....I know he is better than that but offers little in a two

Despite his form dropping off a cliff XS has been much better than EE

I thought we'd found a gem at the start the seasonย

Such a shame he couldn't keep it up

Give the lad a bit of slack. Heโ€™s still young and has never had a full season at this level. Heโ€™ll be busting s gut to get back into it and I have no worries that he will come back better and stronger.

I hope he does, he was ace early doors, the bastard we've been crying out for

But you can't deny the drop in form was alarmingย

Same happened to Burstow and ACD but they've regained some formย

XS barely gets a kick these days

The problem XS , EE and Sheehan have is that they all do a lot of work deep. We can end up with a back 6 and a front 4 with not a lot in the middle. Think it was Reading early season and XS and EE ran a master class for about an hour, but once Reading pressed and chucked an extra body in there we were over run.ย
ย

EE over 200 appearances 5 goals

XS 87 appearances 4 goals

Sheehan 320. Appearances 29 goalsย

So 600 combined appearances and 38 goals. As individuals it is not a problem but as a combination scoring 1 goal in 15 ย between them puts a lot of pressure on the forwards.ย
ย

Just got numbers from wiki so might not be 100% but have 3 midfielders who hardly threaten is going to be a worry.ย
