it's cracking the flags here in the Shires, my garden thermometer thingy reckons it's 26C (it might be fucked though)

Last patient of the day had their fucking heating on full blast. Beads of sweat were dripping down my head.

finished the day off with my first game of rounders in 22 years and a couple of pints as a reward for not being completely shite 👍🏻

Tit Tuesday was magnificent.

Plenty of decent looking ladies about, despite a number of women with leggings covering arses resembling a bag of tumours.

As for the weather,if it continues, I'll give it a month before the first water authority starts warning about water use. Sunniest March ever, with low rainfall, and April also warm and dry.

Don't cut your grass too short folks. Just top it, to keep it looking green.

The reservoir up Scorton way is low.

Really puts pressure on my water filtration as we are getting water through to our taps that's been absolutely hammered with chemicals as they are getting the dregs.

My TDI meter on my tap water now 198ppm. My job is to get my work water down to 0.

Does it operate on an reverse osmosis basis?

Those cartridges also need replacing every so often, and aren't cheap.

I said to my lad the other day, having drunk a glass of water, that it reminded me of the hard water we get on holiday in other parts of the UK. We are in a soft water area.

Maybe just me, but it did taste slightly different.

Yeah pal I'm on an RO system. 4 filters, a resin chamber and 5 membranes.

Trouble is for every 1000 liters of pure water I make it's throwing the same amount away down the drain.

The waste is an eternal problem for RO. It's that high in impurities if you feed it back through the RO is spazzes up the membranes quick sharp and it's too fucked to go back in your mains.

You can clean water by using DI method which is resin based, little waste, and it works by removing the ions. But the cost of resin makes RO more cost effective despite being on a water meter and throwing half away 🤦‍♂️

During extensive research I read that nearly every modern house in India uses RO for their drinking water as their mains supply is so dirty. Every house throws that much down the drain daily it could supply the whole of Africa in one day! Madness.

Alot recycle the waste for watering gardens and stuff as its all it's good for.

If you know anyone that needs thousands of litres of waste/high impurity water a week let me know :D

I've just bored myself there sorry @LH white

I have an RO filter for my fishes... I need to produce at least 250 litres per week for water changes

Spoiled rotten

Place I worked at some 30+ years ago required copious quantities of de-min water to manufacture specialist hydraulic fluids for oil rigs.

Used to come from power stations-condensed steam.

We'd check it to make sure it was within specification.

Dunno if that sort of stuff is available to buy still. You'd probably need to buy it by the tanker loaf too! :)

Maybe I need to redirect my outside tap from ICI round corner :D

I cleaned 2k solar panels the other week and the firm I was working for had the brainwave of buying their own Pure water for the job saving on cost.

They were quoted £400 +VAT for 1k litres.

They quickly accepted my price that included my own water and we ended up using 3000 liters!
