Staying over too as Barnsley on Boxing Day evening is a lively affair.

Players on 10 to 20 grand a week who can't be arsed and are happy to keep picking up their pay cheque, now that's a different matter. And don't get me started on those on the board and their bonus payments for incompetence over the past 5 years or so.

Just watched the clip on the other thread v Crystal Pal. They weren't that bad an outfit, in comparison with some of those at the bottom end of the current Prem

We're not talking about folk who miss a few games were talking about fans who disappear completely when the going gets tough. The mid 80s were a prime example 5000 fans kept the club alive, the 20 odd thousand who enjoyed the last 15-20 years can thank those who did not throw the towel in when times got hard and I don't mean anything like today's problems on a completely different scale back then.

And I teckon the same applies to plenty on here too...so I'm not sure why these questions of loyalty are being brought up. I doubt those who jumped on and have now jumped off said bandwagon will be reading Wanderersways threads anyway.

It will be the same in 10 years time. Everyone who fucks it off now because we're shit will be back for the good days claiming they never stopped.

 

I wasn't there for the last real dark days but if we have more bad days to come I sure as fuck will be now.
