The panorama bung case, we all stood behind him.

How much did he manage to get out of the BBC when he sued them? - was it ever published................

how you can post such tosh is beyond me you want to read it back to yourself and think again,I think Allardyce has done something to you personally the way your going on.

I've read it back and I'm struggling to see which bit is wrong. Can you tell me which bit you disagree with?

he fcuked off cos we didn't match his ambition, six months after being given 8 million we didn't have

i'll let the #getsamhome mob explain how he's going to feel about building a team of kids and unwanteds

 I'll bite.

He is without doubt the most successful football manager in the history of BWFC. Before any starts to harp on about pre 1963, it was a completely different era and a much more level playing field for clubs in general.

He left as he felt he had done all he could after he was turned down when he asked for 8 mill "we did not have" but surprisingly found plus much more for Gary Megson. At the time he asked for that money I was watching the best bwfc team talent wise ever to grace a white shirt, who were never phased by the big boys and were competing for a top 4 finish.

As for the staff players etc some of you should really grow up. We have hired many a manager to has done the same and your attitude to the clubs they came from was...."fuck em" and rightly so. There is no loyalty in football.

As for his return? Well we would never reach the same heights as you rightly say circumstances are different. However I do believe he would shore up some of our defensive issues, bring stronger characters to the club and do better then Dougie Freedman is doing at present. Dare I say it, the quality of football isnt that great at the minute.

i asked why anybody thinks he would come back to a club with far less to spend than when he flounced off

i don't disagree with much of your post but you didn't answer my question

why would this great manager see bwfc as his next job

from what he's said in the past, he must be near retirement anyroad

Apologies. I was really replying to some of the previous posts that border on the type of hysterical hang up you see in jilted lovers.

You are right. He has probably made enough money, but does he not still live in the area? If he chose to apply though i for one think he could do better than the last two incumbents and the present lad, who for all his good intent and nature, has a vision of playing football completely unsuitable to the sort of players at his disposal and more importantly any he can afford to get at this level.

He did more than any other Bolton manager in living history nobody doubts that.

He left because the club did not match his ambitions that is pretty well accepted.

He went to Newcastle who backed his ambition and he spent money before getting sacked and Newcastle were relegated. So not sure if the Board were wrong not back him, he spent £6m on Alan Smith and the same on Joey Barton.

Blackburn sacked

West ham about to be sacked.

He left us six years ago and been sacked three times (maybe) in that time.

You can never forget what he did here but the idea that if he came back it would just like before is frankly bollocks. He pioneered the idea of bringing players who had seemingly lost their way panda built something exceptional whilst it lasted

His relationship with the club and Gartside went from fruitful to septic. Gartside was chairman for the good years and has now had 4 or 5 bad years but he is the devil in some peoples eyes.

Sam is the past time for everyone to move on.

If you sent something to:

Fat Walrus Faced Cunt,

Bromley X

Bolton

It would get to him.

Couldn't care less if Sam was a nice guy or not, or what he did before or after he was employed by Bolton.

Fact is he is one of the best managers the club has ever had and we enjoyed the best period of football under him.

The way people bleet on like a jilted bridesmaid is embarrassing. He was the manager of a football club not an ex wife FFS

Summed up perfectly.

Your second point answers your first.

Has he ever been fairly sacked though?

It's strange you make that analogy, as the way some hanker after his return is exactly like some cuckolded husband who got shit on by his missus yet pines for her to come back to him, doesn't accept that the whole situation has long moved on for everyone else and wouldn't work again in any way, shape or form.

or that the ex-missus is now a bitter old hag who has laughably convinced herself that the husband was the guilty party, and has long since lost any of the charms that made their early years together so special anyway.

Was def "unfortunate" at Blackburn and Newcastle as he was ousted by new boards who thought they knew best and both were relegated not long after getting rid

Not looking good at West Ham though he's promoted and kept them up, probably shouldn't have spunked so much on carroll

He'd do a job at a club where a job needs doing, but he won't be coming back to ours, not whilst ED and PG are running the show

Best manager we ever had, then he left, we move on

It's the sheer hypocrisy of the Get Sam Back brigade that is breathtaking.

They will, have no doubt, have been calling for him to fuck off and moaning like they do week in week out back when his tenure got a bit stale.

They won't admit it now, of course, and will insist they backed him 100% and yadda fucking yadda.

It's a no from me, simply because Dougie deserves longer.

I'll pick this one up, not because I want Sam back - I don't- but under what basis does Freedman 'deserve longer'. Go on, I want to know. Is it the two home wins all season?, the constant changing of the team, which contributed to instability (I'm guessing you thought it was a capital idea to replace our scorers at Leicester against Boro), serie A type football in the hustle and bustle of the championship, or the fact we are actually worse off under Freedman than we were this time last season? Fat head is an experienced manager with success, freedman treats Bolton like it's his Swiss finishing school. I dare say this thread is given oxygen because so many of us can't help comparing chalk with cheese. Sam would be a bad idea, but certainly not as bad as freedman

You could also add Blackpool to that list. Took them to the play-offs and was then promptly sacked.
