Andydee
Suspect this statement in the comments of that article is fairly accurate Based upon my experience of working for a Local Authority dealing with planning applications, I strongly suspect the development has already been 'approved' by the senior politicians. The consultation process is merely a necessity required by law.
no balls
Suspect this statement in the comments of that article is fairly accurate I'm sure you're right. Still, let's see what the self serving cunts have to say for yourself. Remember, the tip idea was eventually dropped due to pressure. Whites man
There was a series on BBC2 or 4 last year about planning inspectors and the whole planning process. Seems you have professional, qualified people following legislation and local policies making considered decisions then some Alf Roberts figure over ruling them on a whim. Eavesy
Great show that. Although you lost count of the number of times there'd be some local without one viable to reject something, just the fact they didn't want change. I fear tomorrow night may bring the same cringe moments. I expect the developers will make it quite clear the plans for infrastructure going forward. frank_spencer
Do they ever listen/take any input seriously? As long as its a valid complaint not just a 'I don't want it' style complaint. This development has been in the long term plans for years so will be going ahead. All this meeting will change is details of the development. If this goes in then the biggest work that needs doing is the section of crown Lane from the bottom of the dip up to the a6. The Council needs to be strong in getting the developer to cough up for it. The route from Mansell Way to crown Lane is a good way complete. farnworth white
Will any of this effect match day traffic? Whilst work is ongoing Saturday games will kick off at 11.00pm when the workers clock off for their Sunday rest. My dad lives on a 'new' estate up hospital Road, he's on phase 2. I have a 42 storey building about to be built adjacent to our building. Lovely!
