Dr Faustus Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 My young lad is still crushed that he's left. We met him a few months ago and I can only say what a lovely bloke he is. Though he hardly speaks English so has done well with that letter Missus told my boy tonight after reading the letter. He is fucking crestfallen. Poor kid fell asleep crying... was waiting for a moment when he wasn't tired and I could explain the birds and the bees of the transfer window and the perils of the Bosnan Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 I remember during an interview with bbc Sam Ricketts said we were the biggest family club he'd played for and there is a proper community within the club, from the chairman to the tea lady. It certainly rings true when you see some of the connections we still have past players. Eidur, campo,Stellios etc. We have a very special club indeed. Loads of old players end up back in Bolton area after their careers end must be something in the water., Quote
mr_disco Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Anybody got Campo's farewell letter? Now, that was a tearjerker Quote
Sweep Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Kin ell that just made me well up. He didnt have to do that. Most don't. What a man. It has to be said Not many leave our club on a sour note. The Gonch-Father is right Quote
BOWTUN BAKED Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Got to love good PR sometimes. If he's wrote that , my pale white arse is being shown from the Town Hall steps, on the front page of the B(e)N come Monday! Only Simpletons like Only1stig believe tear tweaking shit like this, if he (Chungy) believes shit like that, he'd have signed back on. Under our terms & helped us back up & got his rewards financially through it, but he didn't, did he? Good luck to him, but fook him! He's a shithouse! Palace! Fookin' Palace! Don't make me laugh! That shit about the Chairman too.... Oh do fook off! Gartside must 've wrote that shit! Do you think we're all stupid? Anyhoo, NL will get us back up without ungrateful money grabbing mercenary shithouses like you sunshine! BWFC > than 1 player. #seeyounextyearinjuryboy Quote

You have a pony?........ Or you're a grown Man that collects 'My Little Pony's '? I may be being harsh or cynical, as I may have had a sniff of the barmaids apron, though I shall not be retracting my general sentiment on my feelings about this situation. I thank you, & good night! Whites man Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 He didn't have to write it and most don't and what do you suggest he was looking to get out of it? A decent gesture by a decent bloke. Quote
Casino Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 It is but the truth is money meant more than love We move on Quote
Horwich Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 It does to most people in most professions Quote
jules_darby Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Not just money Playing in the top league again Where most of us reckoned he's actually better player And it's not like they are a sure thing for the drop so maybe not just for 4 months either Fair play to him, but I won't be getting teary; we didn't get what we could have from him. Not sure it's all his fault but still he was anonymous for months It's all just a bit meh, but ghost written or not fair play for the letter; he didn't have to Quote
Guest Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Chungy isn't entirely in control of his career or decisions. His advisors are heavily influenced by the Korean national side and he is heavily swayed by his advisors. Suspect that Chungy himself with no influences would have stayed here if the chance was there. But that isn't how football works. Quote
Horwich Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 How anyone can take any negatives from this is beyond me Quote
Whites man Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 I can only think of one club where players regularly turn down moves & on one occasion came back to play a final year for nowt. That's Athletic Bilbao and it's got more behind it than football. Quote
no balls Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 It does to most people in most professions for 'most' I'd change it to 'almost all' Quote
Traf Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Why didn't the manager of the Kia franchise of Middlebrook persuade him to stay? Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 He didn't have to write the letter but he also could have signed a contract at Bolton his actions speak louder than his words. Good bye and sadly won't really be remembered like he could have been. Quote
