only1stig Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Must be a bit dusty on this train. A-hem. Quote
Matt Lofthouse Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Top man. Best of luck in the future Chungy, starting with the winner against the scousers. Quote
stevieb Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 What a guy. Five and a half years? Thought it was about 3! Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Didn't have to do it I suppose, but there's a bit of a whiff about it. Particularly where all managers have been good etc... If you don't want to burn your bridges-fine, but don't bullshit either. Sometimes what you don't say can say a lot more than what you do. DF didn't seem to do much for his career did he? Becomming increasingly annoyed by this saga. Nothing against palace but it's hardly a massive step up in his career, and it could backfire. Quote
Spider Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 My young lad is still crushed that he's left. We met him a few months ago and I can only say what a lovely bloke he is. Though he hardly speaks English so has done well with that letter Quote
chief wiggum Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Fair play to him, he didn't have to do that. His goal and subsequent reaction in the cup at brum will live long in my memory, good player for us and decent bloke by all accounts. Quote
Ani Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Refers to Bolton as 'we' in last paragraph. Quote
radcliffe white Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Fair play to him nice touch but we did help him through his recovery so good luck lad Quote
Bigtoe Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 My young lad is still crushed that he's left. We met him a few months ago and I can only say what a lovely bloke he is. Though he hardly speaks English so has done well with that letter My daughter was the same.. she clocked him as our best player when she went to the Wigan game. She was actually upset when I told her. Quote
gonzo Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Kin ell that just made me well up. He didnt have to do that. Most don't. What a man. It has to be said Not many leave our club on a sour note. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Kin ell that just made me well up. He didnt have to do that. Most don't. What a man. It has to be said Not many leave our club on a sour note. That's because BWFC is the best club in the world bar none. Quote

MalcolmW Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 "I must also thank the chairman. Every player is important to him and he made me feel very special. He has been very kind to me and has helped me a lot." Quote
DazBob Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Nice of Darkslime to edit it and add a paragraph. Quote
MalcolmW Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Nice of Darkslime to edit it and add a paragraph. I extracted that just in case AN hadn't found time to open the full letter. Quote
no balls Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 What a nice gesture, what a nice lad. I wish him well. You never know, he might be back one day. Quote
davidjack Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Top lad, top player, who'll be missed (especially the fully fit, playing for a proper manager version). Hope some of the "he can get to fuck" merchants - and there were a few - can show him the same respect now. Quote
freds dad Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Top player who would have left earlier had he not had so many injuries. I will always remember the cup goal at Brum and the celebrations. Let's hope he scores the winner against the bin dippers. Quote
birch-chorley Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Fair play to the lad Wish him all the best Quote
gonzo Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 That's because BWFC is the best club in the world bar none. I remember during an interview with bbc Sam Ricketts said we were the biggest family club he'd played for and there is a proper community within the club, from the chairman to the tea lady. It certainly rings true when you see some of the connections we still have past players. Eidur, campo,Stellios etc. We have a very special club indeed. Quote
