Trains should be back for this.

We will still be heading into Preston for about 12, might take the Chorley flag to piss off a few natives.

Good lad, could do with a Leyland whites flag and Euxton whites flag out for this and maybe the blackpool massive might bring a fylde coast one. Going to be a cracking day out.

Depends how good our start to season is.

If Boro can manage it I don't see why we wouldn't for a game 20 miles away - where we've not played for 15 years.

boro's away support has been very good in recent seasons they averaged 2200 to our 1100 away last year. Yes league positions were miles apart but they had some journeys to travel to.

Anyone owd enough to remember the Boxing Day game when Roger Hunt made his debut for us there?

We filled the away end and had 2/3 of their cop; Preston fans surrounded by the police for their own protection

Hopefully someone is getting a hefty fine if that's the case - I know the work is complex but that's a ridiculous delay. The train system round here is seriously taking the piss right now.

Doing my fookin head in this way too.

Preston to Horwich bus replacement has been in operation for well over a year now.

Train delays are due to a number of issues - technical problems & Japanese knotweed as Ive said on another topic. Plus government pulling out of loads of northern contracts has left a few companies in chaos. Some of the projects around this area are stopped dead in their tracks and some are awaiting another company to come in and pick up the contract to continue but as it stands no-one is willing to come in and take up the responsibility.

The company the lad I know works for is so strapped for cash that every day the other week he turned up to a compound to find it locked off or being bulldozed because they cant afford to keep the places running, its a large and well known firm too. On its arse around here.

They've told him railway work down south is plentiful though...
