Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted February 9, 2016 Site Supporter Share Posted February 9, 2016 Occasionally called in at the Asda when I worked in Bolton, and had a couple of small jobs in the area so walked past a few times with me trundle wheel. Never been in for a pie though Went in a few times whilst working for the council. Frankly they are dreadful, can see why so cheap. Pastry dead thick. Filling naff. Wilson's are light years better. embankment
Going back to the OP, this is my local chippy and it was a belter, hope these new owners don't fuck it up, noticed they've had the old owners working with them for a few weeks. Proper bad location for parking though, this will be their main problem. Bloody hell we could have a wanderers ways meet up, their along with Victor. chief wiggum
Bennets Lane Chippy is THE best in Bolton. China Palace at doffcocker is the in Bolton Del Capo do the best kebabs Del Capo is excellent for kebabs, the pizzas are good too. I'll help our kid out, Jons fish bar in Horwich (at the lights near Aldi/Iceland is mighty fine. Don't ask for gravy on fish though, he won't serve it, and rightly so IMO

freds dad
you strike me as the type who goes in his slippers and takes a Pyrex covered with a towel When I was a kid my dad used to send me to the chippy with a Pyrex dish as he said that you got a bigger portion of chips. I never had the heart to tell him that they measured the chips out in a tray before putting them into the Pyrex.

Leyther_Matt
Been to the restaurant at Green Lane Chippy in Leigh for the first time tonight. Absolutely outstanding. £8.20 for a massive fish, chips and peas with bread and butter and a pot of tea. Harry Ramsden's my arse.
