Sam has injured his hamstring as too has Forrester, looks like they're out until August, we definitely need a new striker now

Greg Wallace on a free.

Cosgrove is still without a club... Played in that PFA Friendly.

That'd rattle a few feathers.

Decent League 1 target man, has struggled with goals over the last few years but many of those appearances have been off the bench.

Would get some stick from most of our lot but could do the job with the right team around him.

Dzemaili was a Swiss international and captain of his club when we signed him, hardly an unknown youngster

You are right but  after 3 bottles of quality 5 euro wine I genuinely don’t care. We gave him away like so many others.
Problem is not identifying real talent early enough when we have them or that with money being tight we’ve not invested in them maturing with the team.

How do you feel about letting Marcos Alonso go for nothing?

Whilst I agree, it was so unfortunate all round. Big Sam signed him then quit, then he did his cruciate, then had a successful loan upon comeback.

This thread is a terrible read when there's no transfer gossip.

Mainly folk making shit up while bored and the occasional discussion about the importance of 2 inches (only for goalies in this instance).

I'm giving Rob Holding and Aaron Mooy £20 million each as they were both regular Premier League players. Danny Ward at his peak in the Premier League maybe £10 million.

Aaron Ramsdale -£30 million for Arsenal

Ashley Fletcher - £6.5 million

Maybe £3-5 million each for the rest of them

Dont forget how crazy the values got up there after we got relegated.

How much did we make?

Danny Ward's peak was  playing 15 games for a shit Cardiff team in the PL, he's not fetching £10m

Be lucky to get 500k for Vela at his peak

Way behind Dzmaili who Allardyce sold at a loss but later Fenerbahce paid Torino 9.5 million for his services

Didn't we sign Dzemaili on a free?

Can't see any pictures of Big Dave in Spain by the way. But Lawrence is on a few.

Out with his hamstring probably but they couldn’t put all the bad news out together? Seriously though, that would be all we need wouldn’t it?

I think he's one who is a bit like Humphreys at Wigan / Barnsley. Our opinion of both skewed by their performances against us. Humphreys has gone to Bradford (and always been inconsistent). I 'think' Cosgrove would be well below our level and probably a reason he is still looking for a club! MK Dons will make him an offer no doubt 🙂

Danny Ward, Ashley Fletcher, Chris Basham, Aaron Mooy, Luca Connell, Josh Vela, Rob Holding, Joey O'Brien, Aaron Ramsdale, Zach Clough, Nat Phillips.

There has to be £100 million in value there at their peaks

If we can just get 1 decent one every 2-4 years that's enough on top of the 1, maybe 2 that would drop down to league 1 and 2 for a few 100k every year. Combine that with the signings we've made and while i agree it isn't amazing it might be enough to approach keeping our heads above water.

Christ imagine spending £100m and ending up with that as your team.
