It's a combination of a few things but i'd expect most of the business to be after the Wimbledon game Quote

Now it’s Morley they’ll be happy because they know he’s got quality. But it’s needed patience. Quote

Ghanaian winger previously played in Sweden.. and let’s all leave the melodramatics around how the window has been for us until next Monday eh when it actually shuts… So it’s not the Ghanaian striker who played in the third tier of Swedish football then? Eagle85 Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Would be a terrible decision to get rid of Morley. Set pieces and crossing are our 2 big weaknesses, and they're what hes best at in our current squad. Over the years the home games when we struggled against a low block him coming on late for those reasons were a massive bonus. I would never start him but for the sake of 250k and about 5k a week we should try to keep him just for the impact sub ability when something different is needed. Quote

masi 51 Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Seen Celtic have signed a striker today, so had a peek on one of their forums regarding Johnny Kenny. I have never seen a player slaughtered as much on any forum. We scouted some shite last summer Quote

We need another. The rumour the other day of Elliot Lee would fit the bill for example. Suspension and a long term injury were fucked. Our squad was too big but i find it interesting that SS was all about rotation/number of games etc and now it’s borderline bare bones in central midfield (not that some of the ones the have left were that great Randall for example). Morley isn’t the best, but would we get better for 250k? Probably not Edited January 22 by bwfc4ife Quote

Of course we would all take having the perfect squad from Feb onwards, if we could guarantee that. I'm just saying there's a balance when 17% of the season is played this month. And so it isn't just a case of if we sign someone on Jan 31st then alls well that ends well. It'll be one of many decisions to look back on as the season goes on. Quote

kent_white Posted January 23 Posted January 23 100 appearances for Bolton. I don't dislike him at all. But I don't think he's progressed much since he first arrived. I can understand why SS and the club might choose to sanction it. Quote

masi 51 Posted January 23 Posted January 23 No i wanted Jatta from Notts County. I may have said if he was the clubs main Target they should pay the extra to get him I had no clue who Johnny Kenny was. Forwards are hit and miss Ballard was shite last year at Blackpool, this season he is setting this league on fire at Orient. Taylor was player of the season at Wigan yet is doing nothing this season at Blackpool. Fletcher cannot stop scoring but in the past he has been poor. Not many forwards do it year on year so whoever we sign it will be a big gamble Quote

bwfc4ife Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Reading that Olaofe may be available after Charlton signed Lyndon Dykes. This guy was right handful last season, I'd be all over this Quote
gonzo Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Could sign Haaland and it'd do nothing if we don't getting some decent balls in. Quote

You also mention if the club had backed SS with 500k to get him we might not be struggling for goals, and elsewhere that 1 million for him would have been a statement signing Quote
