I first knew about this issue from the BBC on the 1st March. They have reported on it many times. Again this morning. Anyway. Ms. Reeves promising to ensure everyone pays their fare share of tax. Can’t argue with that.

Probably

Most don't really care or have an interest in what the EU does, their support for it, or lack of, is just an indication of which "side" they're on

Has this gone unnoticed today?

The thick fuckers in the EU who thought up the Schengen area have ignored the damage FOM has caused across Europe only when virtually every country in Europe is lurching to the right do they decide it’s a problem… oh and if they’d sorted it before 2016 we’d most likely be still in the EU.

It’s actually been ongoing since 2015. It’s taken them this long to reach agreement and if it’s ratified at the end of this month (by an expected narrow margin) it won’t be implemented for another two years. That’s EU bureaucracy for you. I doubt it’ll make much difference but it makes a nice headline.
