Correct. We have benefitted in so many ways that it is taken for granted. People wont be happy when they are queueing for ages to get through non-EU passport control on holiday next year working out how much extra it will cost to use their mobile phone for the week.

Why do you go on holiday to use your mobile? Just wondering

To speak to family and friends at home. Or in the old days work unfortunately.

Just use WhatsApp. Don’t need a mobile provider then.

and I go on holiday to switch off from friends and family and work.

We have been pushed around by Brussels since the Common Market became the EU.

Sad thing is, many of you find that acceptable.

Have we balls

Boris will fuck off before Christmas, nailed on.

He'll be around a bot longer than that, but his own party will get rid of him within 12-18 months I'd have thought

I never said it was a deal breaker nor would I complain and nor did I get excited when roaming charges were capped.

i was trying to understand the comment about people moaning about it.

I would pay for a better hotel and get one that has WiFi then 😁. It’s what I do. And I don’t pay for my mobile and can roam to my hearts content at no cost if I chose.

Acceptable since it was officially called that’s by parliament in 1908, that the flag of the known as the Union Jack

the myth part was referring to people saying it can only be called jack if / when it’s on a ship .

Does anyone listen to The Renuion programme of radio 4? Anyway, on Sounds have a listen to the one about Black Wednesday. It interesting to hear about how this sowed the political seeds for what was always a fringe anti European movement in the Tory Party to gain oxygen.

No but I'll dig it out and have a listen later.

I think that was certainly a point when anti-EU sentiment was growing.

I know this. And I go abroad for work also and use my mobile as I’m working. When on holiday I’m not. Just wondered why folk don’t go on holiday to relax.

i didn’t see it as a big thing when roaming charges were capped and don’t see it as a big thing that that will end basically

Do you have teenage kids who might not go on holiday with you ?

People with different family set up than you might want/need to be in touch.

Ultimately the prices will be driven down as there are alternatives so as I said not a deal breaker. Think sorting Irish border out comes first.

Yes I agree there are much bigger things to concern ourselves with, not least Ireland.  I also think a lot of these things will have been overlooked because being part of the EU is all most of us remember.

to be honest, same here, I've rarely struggled to get WiFi anywhere, and that's normally good enough for my needs

The biggest thing that will affect most of us is the EHIC, although I think Mounts said that will definitely be continuing, so again, probably nothing to worry about
