I’m thinking it’s a decent performance looking at the money spent on that stoke team, Ince, Afobe, Woods, Bojan, Butland, Berahinio, we dug in first half and unlucky not to get it back to 1-1 after which anything could of happened.

True

They are just a much better set of players

But we can't concede that awful first goal

We can't afford refs to disallow what was a perfectly good goal

Ps is Donaldson taking the piss

The value of their squad must be mental. Similar to Boro bringing on a £15m striker the other week. We’ve probably had two or three very good chances plus the goal that should never have been disallowed. Two soft goals to concede though and we’re always up against it as long as that remains the case. Fuck knows why we wait until we’re two down before the midfield looks to receive the ball though.

Cheap excuse

blackburn and Rotherham have bagged 5 past these in recent weeks

it was a poor poor performance slightly better in 2nd half

You just have to like oztumer

Works his bollocks off and can play a bit

There’s definitely summat there but he either needs to go to the gym or become half a yard quicker or he’s forever going to be pushed off the ball in this division.

Imagine being in stoke at 10pm at night when you have work in the morning having watched us get beat 2-0.

In my imagination the train home was delayed an hour and the pubs wouldn't let away fans in

I didn't watch it, so I'd ask- our passing and movement isn't great, if team mates did the above a bit sharper, would he be able to offload it quicker and create things more easily.

Building him up is the last thing he needs, you're always up against it at his height

A team on a bad run and then along come Bolton......

not very inspiring, keep giving the ball away, then when we do get a chance, our short corners or free kicks are poor.

at least we only lost 2-0

time for bed

A performance like this just affirms why our attendances are at the level they are.

We have no realistic expectations of finishing anywhere near the play offs.

Even the bigger clubs would be down on crowds if this was the case.

The typical criticism of most English football fans. It’s a load of bollocks.

If the rest of our carthorses were even slightly on his wavelength he’d be absolutely fine. Unfortunately, they’re not.

Which bit is incorrect? So many times tonight he gave the ball away because he was outmuscled off the ball. He’s never going to win the physical challenge so why isn’t he either nipping in front of the defender in the first place or at least outsmarting him one way or another?

Was the goal disallowed for magennis having hold of yon mon or the none obstruction on their keeper?

Can’t possibly be the challenge on the keeper but that’s what the referee seemed to signal. If it’s for Magennis on Williams, he’s being punished simply for being the stronger of the two in the challenge. Their first goal was surely a foul by the same token, Hobbs being shoved off before their mon backed off.
