I imagine we could offer a wage that isn't hugely inferior to League One clubs, which is the absolute highest level he'll be playing next season. And that's before we factor in the potential we have here relative to the overwhelming majority of clubs in the lower leagues, his familiarity with the club, and so on and so on. They might only want a very small contribution to his wages anyway. They're currently paying him 100% and he hasn't gone on loan anywhere for three consecutive transfer windows.
