waffer cup 07
Parky won't be coming out and saying Wildshut is gash and he did get clattered first half.

The old conundrum. People sometimes said Anelka didn't work hard enough. Can only feel sorry for our strikers in general, irrespective of work rate. He took his goals well and that's all he can do. Moderators Zico Posted January 6, 2019 Moderators Share Posted January 6, 2019 We started well when Magennis got 4 in 7 He rarely got a sniff when we were drawing a blank every week He scores a hat trick and the suggestion is he won't start unless he works harder That's how it is these days

I’d think PP knows exactly why he dragged him off. But he’s not gonna say it’s because he’s shite.

While we're at it, Wheater looked way off the pace yesterday. I realise it's 20 year olds against a 30+ year old but he was painful to watch. Sluffy
Just for completeness I post Neil Bonnars justification of his 'worse possible result for the Andersons' tweet prior to this match. The following is a twitter conversation between a tweeter called Mr Morals and Bonnar - Mr Morals - And still you want us to lose today? Shithouse Bonnar - Did I say I wanted them to lose? Read the tweet again Mr Morals - I don’t need to. So what result EXACTLY do you want today Neil? Bonnar - A Wanderers win then United in the next round on TV. But only for the good of the players, staff, fans and club. Not the Andersons Mr Morals - How is that the result being the worst possible for the Andersons? Clue: it’s not Backtracking now Neil Wanting it “despite” the Andersons? Bonnar - True, I don't know how a win and United on TV next can be good only for staff, club, fans and not the Andersons, but if it could that's what I want. Mr Morals - Then as a senior journalist, one may want to be more careful with your words! Bonnar - No not really Mr Morals - Brilliant https://twitter.com/Duke0fDidsbury/status/1081565884190244866 Remember Bonnar is Iles boss and Head of Sport at the paper! Wonder why he never made the big time with a national paper? Hard to believe he's even head of a provincial town paper with tact, diplomacy and word craft skill such as he's displayed above! What an utter, utter joke of a man - he even calls himself the Duke of Didsbury! Similar vein actually. Called him out for what exactly he meant and he had no answer but his anti Ken stance was clear shortland somehow then got involved then when I went to see what he had written I had already been pre blocked. Despite never engaging with him before, looking at his timeline or even referencing him the dog shagging Cnut

paulhanley
I'm no great fan of Steve Claridge but one of the things he has consistently said in his punditry is that managers who consistently pick players out of position are asking for trouble. He's a bit of a zealot on the subject and some of Big Sam's moves (playing Simon Charlton in central defence springs to mind) prove him wrong in the zealotry. However there's a strong element of truth in what he says - and Craig Noone/Phil Parkinson is a case in point!
Moderators Casino Posted January 6, 2019 Moderators Share Posted January 6, 2019 I think if we are going to play wingers on their own side and with 2 strikers, we will be in abacus territory....and not in a good way No problem with trying it in a game we are likely to lose, but I do think it's doomed

marple whites
Just nice to have some goals and excitement for a change. first half instantly forgettable, but 5 goals, goal disallowed, hit post, other chances, just for a moment put a smile on the faces of the people that went. its amazing that when you create chances for strikers, we actually score - granted lower league opposition. superb crosses from noone. united away next round purely to maximise financial reward.
