My brothers murderer has been sentenced today, 

He's successfully pleaded the "diminished responsibility" route, oddly his name has been kept out of the papers too.

Sliding sentence, minimum of 3 years, max 16 its all very strange as he's been committed in a hospital prison.

Irrespective of his "condition", he's still taken a life.

Don't suppose it matters too much if he's in a prison or a secure hospital; so long as he never comes out.

His motive was a joke and just insulting. In this country i'd imagine the outcome would have been very different, but I'm just hoping he's kept away from people. 

Had he been given a set amount we could have tried to move on, this is going to linger now..

Nope he's British, so when he's free will inevitably be returning to the UK. I'm just hoping by they point there will be enough on google stating his name that he's unable to full reintegrate with society, because he's a dangerous person. 

 

Actually quite nice being able to say all this now, i've not been able to say much for the last year, for fear of it affecting the trial, which is ironic, as it's all a bit naff anyway..

Yesterday, a young lad (teen), who works in the same group as my wife and son, suffered a massive rta, whilst at work.

Life saved by paramedics on scene.

Had surgery but in a bad way.

Don't want to say too much for obvious reasons.

Don't know the lad, but it's really got to me, maybe more than you'd expect as he's essentially the same age my my lad.

All last night during the game, I was thinking that I'd be completely happy for us to get beat, if it helps him pull through.

One of those bizarre aspects of life.

I'm in no way religious, but if everyone could just spare a few moments, and wish him well in your mind, then who knows. Can't do any harm.

Bleed on brain, broken bones. Into an induced coma.

Pulled through the worst and brought out of coma.

Fingers crossed on the road to a long recovery.

That's really good to hear, I was fearing the worst when you didn't update and I didn't want to ask.
