Visibly tired in the second half and for a while Pompey were all over us but the main thing was that we offered little in terms of attacking threat, especially after Verlinden went off. We just weren't creating clear cut chances. Still it's a lot better than it has been and we look reasonably organised at the back. Zouma is a strong lad but still looks a bit of a liability at times - hopefully he'll learn from the experience. At least it's something to build on for next season in League 2.

Verlinden is our creative spark , did he get subbed through injury or just subbed? Zouma could do with going to League 2 on loan now to get ready for next season.

If Jake Wright is out for any length of time I think he probably needs to get a new free agent central defender in before Blackpool. If anything happens to Hobbs we're down to the kids again in that crucial area.

Well it’s a massive improvement on Rotherham, we have to keep perspective.

You're right of course.

The fact I feel quite a bit disappointed I suppose is testament to the work that the new management team have done, and the quality of play that we have witnessed.

I just feel happy that we've played 3 games since Rotherham, against teams that will finish top half, and conceded 1 goal from open play and generally looked like a Div 1 team who can compete. Compared to the conference standard team that conceded 6 in the first hour or so at Rotherham. On another note, what about Oxford scoring 13 goals without reply since we deservedly held them to 0-0? We are progressing.

Should have been ahead in the first half, by far the better team. They had the second half, we either tired or they changed something cause it was completely different.

No disgrace, we could have had a point but it’s one of the tougher places to go. Give Murphy a few more games and get Wright back and we’ll be reet.

Ive said it before and I’ll say it again Bridcutt is too good for this league.

Apparently best away following in the division today. That is very impressive.

There was some very low numbers tbf across the board, but yes very good

I know it was Friday night but Lincoln took 1300 to Blackpool

Just seen the highlights, soft penalty and keeper should have done much better with the goal.

Not totally unexpected losing, Pompey are a decent team despite their lowly position. Our time is now though, time to start getting some wins on the board
