If someone comes into KFC whilst I'm there and then tests positive, I have to self isolate, my work place doesn't have to pay me.

If social distancing works, then it doesn't make sense.

Plus in the 4 months I've had this phone, I haven't had location on once. I'm not a fan of having my data used and companies do it often in small print. Hence me receiving phone calls most days where my insurance company passed on my crash details. I don't even have a nectar or clubcard.

It's personal choice.

My understanding is that if someone walks past you in kfc it makes not a jot of difference. If you’re sat next to someone within a certain distance for a specified time it will alert you if they later test positive? Is this incorrect? anyone know?

When bolton is on the same rules as the rest of england, ill download it

I do have a fear though that ill find myself being advised to isolate and not being paid....so thatll be the other thing that might stop me

Can you get SSP if isolating? Not like it’s worth a wank like

Back to the fundamental question;

Is the cure worse than the illness?

Not for me no. If you let this virus just rip through the population then society would just grind to a halt anyway.

And we'd have to live with the fact that we'd let our loved ones die.

I can see your argument - but I reckon you'd might think again if you had to actually live through it.

It’s gloomy predictions like this that have led to me wanking in motorway service car parks.

15 mins within 2 meters

30 mins within 4 meters

So in KFC if someone enters the building, you're running the risk.

PHE works off the following for schools (sorry but it's the one I know well)

15m within 2 meters

1 minute within a meter.

I would prefer to know if I’d been sat near someone for a prolonged period who later tested positive. But I understand you point of view and it’s upto personal choice as you say.

I get paid fully if self isolating so that makes a big difference I accept that.

That's just soft.

OK, it seems odd that other places have gone way higher than we did prior to inreased measures, but so what?

Difficult to understand all the reasoning behind every move, and probably better off not trying to.

But, if it helps us all nationwide then just do it.

If it doesn't, no harm done trying.

Does the 6 have to be from the same household? Or can it be 6 people from 6 different households? I have no idea any more.

It can be 6 people from 6 different households. Last Friday, in the pub we had six of us round a table, made up of five different households, and that's OK.......... Which is pretty ridiculous

And to make it more ridiculous, one of the lads left early, and somebody else then came and joined our table, so we were still within the current farcical rules.

The "Rule of Six" is just ridiculous

Its not soft

Daughter is seeing her fella and son sees his gf

Theres very little risk compared to lots of other scenarios

When we are not breaking the law, ill consider the app

But with 6 of you around a single table, surely you haven’t a hope of having 2m between you? And very unlikely to be achieving the 1m needed to sit there with masks on (which you won’t do anyway if you’re supping)?

Is this in certain areas? I know it’s always changing but last month couple of us went mcr and most places it was same house inside others beer garden

last I thought the rule of 6 was same household

Rule of six was introduced after your trip

And Manchester was, and remains, in special measures

Special, but not as special as boltons
