Looks like Britain will be getting large doses of the Vaccine before EU countries. Who’d of thunk it

Me, the problem being I wont be surprised if the Dodgy Daves have rushed a dodgy batch through

Not a fan of his but he Nails it here

What a whopper that caller was.

Yes, it's a choice not to have it. Fine, whatever.

But don't whine if the people who've chosen to have it don't want you anywhere near them.

And if, as is likely, the majority of people have it, then you're probably going to end up on the wrong side of democracy eventually.

Anti-vaxxers are going to have to get used to being a minority whose choices are reduced by their decision.

A bit like being a vegan. Again, fine. But don't complain when I've got chicken fat running down my chin.

Dunno mate. Labour must have a proposal though?

Labour have continually said that financial support hasn't been good enough. For some reason chose last night to make a point.

Had the vote not gone through, then we'd have been in a state of no restrictions. At least temporarily. In response to that, maybe they'd have gone down the civil contingencies act route or similar. That would have been cat among the pigeons time.

I heard a couple of bits of screeching in the hoc last evening. Des Swayne of particular note. Usually got time for him and his style, but by the fuck was he complaining about the suggestion that anti vaccine turnips could be refused entry to an ale House etc. Liberties bla bla bla.

Maybe he could start a movement whereby pillocks can walk about with their cocks out.

The vaccine minister had suggested that pubs might choose to refuse entry as its their choice who they allow in.

I'm no expert on such legal matters, but as establishments and businesses have a duty to protect employees and customers, I would have thought that its perfectly reasonable for them to refuse entry.

Good news if true - some nobber on the radio this morning suggesting that Denmark will start their vaccination programme before anybody else in Europe, starting as early as next week I think (which I think is when we're looking at doing it)

If some people don't want the vaccine that's their choice, we do live in a democracy (or we did pre-covid).

Would I have it ?, yes, but I won't be rushing to have it, and those that don't want it shouldn't be put on a blacklist.

My brother was admitted to hospital on Monday, he has COPD, years of heroin abuse has contributed to this, my sister who works at Bolton NHS was worried to fuck in case he gets Covid and it kills him off, I said he will be okay as the covid patients will be on their own ward, she replied not a chance as they are now just mixing all patients together. He came out yesterday, still struggling to breath and the doctors/consultants stated he is safer at home! Beggars belief.

My Aunty went into Bolton hospital 2 weeks ago after a fall, she died last week with Covid, she can only of caught it in there as she lived alone and had isolated all year.

A shitter, condolences.

Did they not test her upon admission- I thought that was routine?

Sorry to hear that Mounts.

I was in the hospital recently and I can't see how they can keep it completely safe.

Hopefully anyone admitted will get the vaccine as standard like the staff and hospitals can become safer.

A reminder of just how dangerous it is, still.

Not sure it’s all happened rather quick and not discussed it with her daughter. Thx for condolences. At least she was a grand old age at 94, sadly she passed without her daughter and Granddaughter being with her.

but if we "live in a democracy", then pubs/clubs/football stadiums/restaurants/hospitals etc etc have as much right to say "if you're not vaccined you're not coming in", just as much as a person has the right to say "I don't want it"

we've seen what it does - every person and business has a reserved right to protect themselves and those who they come in contact with

My mate works for a large pharma research company. His view is that the only thing that stops any vaccine being tested and ready as quickly as this one is money. The more money you throw at it the quicker it gets tested and approved. That’s all that’s happened here. We’ve thrown billions at it and it’s pushed it to the front of the queue. It’s undergone the same checks as any other vaccine would.

I suppose in some respect you are correct, but then again it seems like people are being blackmailed just so they can regain some of their liberties.

Maybe split a pub in 2, non vaxxers in the vault, vaxxers in the lounge 😁

Non vaxxers in the cellar!

I'm certain it won't be a legal requirement, and I suspect many  places will be that desperate for custom they won't insist on it

but some probably will - a cruise ship, or an airline for example

it's like in the 90s/00s - I didn't like going to places that would only let you in trousers / shoes, as I would rather wear jeans / trainers - so I'd avoid the places with shit rules, but if I had to go for whatever reason, I'd borrow my dads trousers / shoes so as to get in
