Just seen the Luton game and they seem to have their 2,000 fans in a space probably meant to 3,000 fans. Pretty much sat as normal with no distancing at all. It’s the first game back - hope the authorities aren’t watching. In fairness the fans are now much better spread out. I wonder if there was an announcement at half time. Quote

Few other pubs are waiting until next year, no point opening if its a meal and drink, can't make the numbers work. Some will just be opening for the 5 days during Xmas break if they are allowed. This place will be carnage on sat. Quote

That doesn’t mean that we can’t grant a licence. We can, so long as we abide by the said regs. Once we’ve left the EU we can do what we want but are unlikely to as the agreed regs are pretty solid and we will continue to follow them as it makes no sense to divert from them Cheese can correct me if I’ve wrongly interpreted his stance Edit: And if I understand correctly even if a licence is granted across the entire EU individual countries regulatory bodies can still wait until they grant use in their own country if they are not convinced that the data is solid enough You are massively over-complicating it. My point is simply that - until January - the UK is still operating under EU Laws/Regulations.... in spite of that, a UK agency has been able to approve the vaccine for the UK...just like a German agency could approve one for Germany, or a Spanish one for Spain. Hence, it has nothing to do with the EU or EU regulations. I'm only raising this point because certain Brexit loons are claiming "This is only possible because we have left the EU!!!". Technically you are absolutely correct but it would be highly unusual to approve against EU regs as they are in place for a very good reason. Quote

Sorry for your loss. She will have caught it at the same time as Mrs Swanny. Who went to hospital after an asthma attack. Caught it off a nurse who was a-symptomatic. Apparently 1/3 of the ward also caught it at the same time. This will have been about 13th November. When I picked her up (with oxegen tank), she could hardly walk and I was told by the care assistant that helped us that "she is a very lucky lady". going to be a long road to recovery, but what she saw on that ward in the 2 weeks where she had it, nobody should see. She’s just stated that there is no evidence at present that having the vaccine stops you from catching or spreading the virus. What it does is significantly reduces the impact the virus has on you and the chance you become seriously ill. this is the first time I’ve heard that said on the basis I don’t watch the news anymore or read about it as I got bored. Is this new info or how it’s already been portrayed? Quote

This is the article I read on it last week: There’s still one huge mystery surrounding coronavirus vaccines – BGR Quote
