Did he have it though? He’s had to isolate after coming back from an island that is relatively safe yet he can drive around the country entering towns (i was going to say towns that have a higher rate than Bolton but there are none now) and that’s not a problem. 🤷🏻

Irrelevant.

Go on holiday to a country on the list - you must self isolate for 14 days.

He didn't just nip out once for a snide pint (not that that should be ok),  he completely took the piss with a house party.

What a fucking humungous bellend.

But you could come home from working in Leicester all week and have a party but not from an island that has handled the virus well.

Do you know when people say use common sense throughout this, well here is an example.

Don't know if he had it or not - point is, he might have been infected on his last day abroad and not had symptoms for 5 days, yet he had a party at his house. Ibiza recorded record infections at the end of Aug and the Spanish govmt has sent a load of soldiers over to improve the tracking, so its hardly a safe spot.

Sitting on a plane for 4hrs with 200 other folk is a geat way to catch covid. Some peole are coming back from holiday from some places with infections.

What do you think the rules should be?

If sitting on a plane is a great way to catch it then why aren’t all fights both domestic and international cancelled?

Because they have to pick which restrictions are most effective without damaging the economy.

If you can go to Leicester and Ibiza and the pub, and bwfc matches without restriction,  that increases the chance of transmission

If you remove Ibiza and pubs and bwfc matches, each one reduces transmission possibility - ok you can still go to Leicester, but because you couldn't go to Ibiza, bwfc match and the pub, your chance of getting infected is lower.

it's not either/ or - it's multiplying all the situations together

But it’s safer than Ireland and you can fly in from Ireland no problem.

There’s places harder hit that didnt have the same restrictions. The Uk as many love to point out has been one of the worst  effected countries in the world but hey, you can all go and cram on the beaches on Cornwall and Blackpool 🤷🏻

Mask watch...........A/B Lidle 100% mask wearing........A/B Asda ,a big minority, all ages, sexes & colours not wearing masks with some being cocky about it. My opinion has now hardened & it's time to stop anyone entering any shops without a mask, with shopping help being given to anyone genuinely exempt.

I wouldn't expect shop staff to have to tackle  those who refuse to wear a mask, so it's not easy to enforce, but a few high profile arrests with big fines should send a message.

It's not either/or mate - it's adding all the risks up - remove a risk, the probability drops, and the effect is exponential.

Imagine if they banned all travel except to every large city in England.

If you then banned Manchester and Birmigham, but let travel to all the other cities continue regardless of the infection rates, it would reduce the probability of infections being passed around.

They have to pick which ones they think are most effective, and will allow the economy to continue as best as is possible.

You might think it's not fair, it's not, it's just maths.

Flights to ireland take less time,

I'm guessing at the end of the summer holidays there are less travellers to Ireland than Ibiza, more of them bussiness related.

Irelands infection rate is low, less than 200 per day, Spain was 7k a few weeks ago.

They will have criteria like this that they analyse to work out what the risk and benefits of each restriction are.

I know him. He's flouted the rules throughout lockdown, having regular parties at his house. Police have been round a number of times.

Losing my sense of smell was the first thing I noticed. Only because I was cleaning the bathroom and couldn't smell the bleach. I was fine at that point, within 5 hours, I was in bed with a raging temperature and struggling to breathe, that's how quickly it came on

I'm not going to risk cleaning the bathroom ever again

Covid warriors with police escort taking photos of the barbers in horwich, probably not had the right measures in place and someone has grassed them up.

Getting ridiculous this

Mask Watch:

Couple in our shop today, no masks. When asked to put em on they said "Oh there's no need we're in a bubble".

Either it's all got too confusing for folk or folk are thick as fuck. Or both maybe.

Just seen the report on the news about schools in Spain. All pupils and teachers have to wear masks. I believe that’s not the case here. Just shows how different countries approach the problem.
