Must have been confusing that thrashing with another later 5-0 mauling probably mid-seventies. We also did the league double over them 1972-73 season 3-2 away & 3-0 home. Interestingly only 6k on at the Valley for the league game but 10k for the cup game. We had 18k for the league game & 21k for the cup game . How times have changed , bigger crowds for cup games then across the board. my dad hadnt been for years and he mustve decided it was his duty to make me a wanderer he did a few games to see it was safe and this was one of em, which is prob why i remember it i think we played luton in the next round or 2 and from what i have heard since, that one may have delayed my first game!
