For what it's worth, it clearly was a bit of a gimmick, but it nevertheless gave the protestors the chance to do a bit of a "James Dyson" and turn it around; speak respectfully and intelligently, and enhance their cause.

Missed the opportunity, and weakened their argument.

As we know, there’s many others in both countries who want peace & compromise. 
 

If you were to have your homeland taken from you in similar circumstances in the UK, you’d be well within your rights to resist. Not that I’m defending the methods of Hamas. 
 

Israel has to give back significant land as part of any agreement. That’s what @gonzo’s one sided video snippet above ignores when it talks of deals that were rejected .

There were moments historically when Israel looked willing to compromise. Recently their government & settler community have gone full throttle in the opposite direction. And that’s why they bear as much responsibility for this war as Hamas do.

Historically going back to September 2023.? We’ve been through this before. ‘Normalisation’ between Israel and the Arab world was a distinct possibility. Hamas had other ideas (October 7th) and the rest is, well, history.

It didn’t start on October 7th. Israel wasn’t willing to compromise on stolen land pre Hamas attacks 

Israel were still bulldozing innocent folks homes and evicting them from their land all September.
