They might do a halfway house for Christmas Day/Boxing Day last year and say pubs and restaurants are open but you can only attend within your household. Although its fair to say that, having taken notice of that last year and cancelled our restaurant reservation for Christmas Day, there's absolutely fuck all chance I'm cancelling this year.

Dare I say it, but it would also be very hard to justify any sort of restriction while we can still go to games.

Think of the money you’d save staying in?

Talk of nothing until new year now

They letting it rip through us.

If it doubles every two days, that would be about right.

We’re through the looking glass

I can't get my head around it if they lock us down on 27th.  It means every fucker will ensure they go out on Boxing Day as a last hurrah.

You can’t be surprised

Fuck that, Christmas is where all the Nectar points, credit card cashback etc all come in to their own. One big fucking freebie.

If your goal is preventing cases and hospitalisatiins, the time for lacking down was about 2/3 weeks ago.....!

Indeed

pointless now

I suspect the rhetoric will be that although hospital admissions are down, NHS staff are having to isolate left, right and centre so only need half the hospitalisations to have the same effect as when there were however many thousand in hospital for the last lockdown. Though I'm sure the projected infection rate will be quoted too, even though it doesn't seem to have matched the modelling yet.

Well cases growth seems to have slowed *a bit*, I suspect its in part due to a behavioural shift with people not wanting to isolate for Christmas and maybe some people not testing/reporting. But its not the exponential growth that was predicted so I'll take it for now, admissions not looking too bad either atm

Whilst it is later than it should have been, it certainly wouldn't be pointless.

Not really, if hospitals start falling over in a couple of weeks, then it’s obviously been left too late.

However, hospitalisation from Covid seems to be holding steady.

The real issue is staff isolating. 7000 currently across the NHS in london.

How do we deal with that?

Went into the petrol station at the Mercury in Howfen today.  As per bloody usual, barely any customers were bothering with a mask.  At one point there were 9 of us in there with just me wearing one.  Selfish twats.

There you have it; some data

Hospitalisations steady (deaths falling)

We don't - if you elect to reside in the nest of tramps, pimps, stabby twats, hookers, rentboys and pretend job wankers that is London aka Shithole you deserve all you get.

Doesn't the nasal soot so prevalent in the dump act as a prophylactic?

How do we deal with the isolation problem though?

We should have some data about it over the next few days

Wait, don’t panic
