Jarrod Bowen’s a proper B-rated footballer isn’t he. Doesn’t belong in the England squad

Same as yon lad Gordon.

Never in the elite category.

One of those tedious games where a top side faces a low block, too ponderous and not enough width. Still got into enough situations but weak finishes till those Kane efforts

Better for the subs coming on, Foden Rashford and Saka injected pace and trickery.

Better second half.

That's a great goal.

Not a good game, though both teams have had a few chances.

Eze is yet to impress me for England.

Bowen showed more energy and desire, without producing anything of note.

Need to see Kane graba a hat-trick.

That finish from Eze v Serbia the other was top drawer.  And a fantastic goal against Latvia a few months ago.  Just seems to have more end product than most for England, and has a habit of coming up with champagne moments, like the goals at Wembley for Palace.

The odd one or two goals are fine. Ideally would like to see more in terms of direct assists, and creativity. Use his pace.

Show more against stubborn sides, when we're finding it more difficult to open them up.

He was anonymous today.

Eze is top quality.

Bowen is a hard worker, but he’s just nowhere near as talented, quick or intelligent as the rest of the attacking group

I wouldn't say nowhere as near to be fair to him, he's a lot more than a hard worker, he sometimes single handedly pulls West Ham out of the mire with real quality, so he's every right to be classed as international standard based on what he does in the Prem.  But yes a peg down from the top quality if we're talking Bellingham, Foden, Palmer, Saka, Kane.  Probably next level down with Gordon, Watkins, Loftus Cheek etc, but has a great attitude and leadership qualities.

Really is an insane pool of talent.

Cole Palmer gets in any team on the planet. He's struggling for a case to make our first 11.

I don’t think he’s ousting ACD or Gale in the wide positions, but I reckon he might get in ahead of Randall in the number 10

Clearly forgetting the white Pele.

No criticisms whatsoever from me. Tables don't lie.

The 'we haven't played anybody', 'Tuchels treacle football' brigade will be along shortly.

Likely winners will be Argentina or Brazil as is usually the case in the Americas (it was Germans who broke this trend remember and we now have one) but we will acquit ourselves very well and are not without hope (I know, I know - that's what kills you).

Delighted to have a proper football man at the helm. One who gets results.

It's been a remarkable qualification period.

Just got to take that form into the finals.

He will have some selection headaches for sure.

Not yet convinced on one or two, but there is time, it's a squad game. Sometimes unlikely players can emerge as heros.

just seen Norway spanked Italy 4-1 away the other night

Haaland got 2

taking his group tally to 16 in 8 games, scored in every one

and Norway won all 8 games with a GD of +32

impressive

Aye, and Italy have to go through a play off.

I've heard of more of the Norwegian squad than I have the Italians

It still amazes me that they've failed to qualify for the last 2 world cups, almost unthinkable that they could make it a hattrick this time. Especially when they've actually won the thing 4 times and been runners up twice (I think)

Yet they won Euro 2021

It wasn't his virtue signalling that got us to two finals that's for sure
