Interesting comment above it about respect etc.

Try telling that to the extremists in our midst and watch them laugh.

So much of the church is blind and doesn't fulfill the needs of so many any more.

All too political at times, and unwilling to face the reality.

Dunno if you've ever watched the film "The Mission", it's tremendous, but the situation with the church now reminds me of Jeremy Irons and his congregation getting shot to pieces whilst clutching his cross.

You can’t ignore it anymore . Even if people do manipulate these crimes to stir shit up against all immigrants & asylum seekers. It’s still not reason to talk openly about it. 

Some mainstream media outlets need to do more to report honestly on the issue. 
 

Government also need to do more to stop people arriving they know nothing about. Otherwise they should start being held accountable for incidents like this. Fwiw I don’t know if this how this guy arrived. But certainly for the Sudanese fella. 
 

And the sentences for any sexual offences continue to be an absolute joke & an insult to the victims. From the elite doing it - to coppers in positions of power - & to cases of unvetted arrivals - there is a distinct lack of proper justice. Needs sorting. We’d all be very happy seeing our taxes put to good use.

Turns out its owned by National World Publishing Ltd - one of the big three Corporate entities in the UK. So being the scrupulously fair man that I am, I checked the date of acquisition - 2018 first by JPI which heavily used syndicate content as part of its strategy then the entireJPI entity was acquired by National World in 2021.

Its because the CO is the only paper to still employ an arts reporter.
