We spend the entire match going down the left but neither chicksen or that stoke lad can cross.

why persist time after time after time.

he can’t cross!

This. It’s one dimensional. And not working. He has no left foot either.

Its early days and we have lots of injuries. So fair enough.

But I see a few warning signs here. Rochdale fans say Hill is tactically not all that and stubborn. Beginning to see it.

That was dire

Suppose I could leave it at that

But, we take an undeserved lead and then go to pot

First half, politic may as well have sat down with me

To the left, to the left

Every Fcuking time

Get an undeserved lead then go completely to pot

at 1 1 Murphy probably should have got us back in front, but we hot absolutely what we deserved

I don't think Graham touched the ball in 70 minutes

I feel no senior cb available hurts is, but deary me

Awful

Worst I've felt for a long time

I thought we did ok in first half. Only gonna be one winner.

Wilbraham changed the game, but senior fucked up for the first goal by not closing down, and zouma fell apart in last 20.

Back to very young players today. We can't afford to have so many injuries.

oh and Murphy was utter dogshit when he came on.

We persist with it time after time because we aren't currently capable of doing very much else. We have little scope to accommodate many injuries, and now that we've lost a couple of players from our best team, this is the result.

I'd have probably opted for playing Dodoo from the start but I doubt it would've made a huge difference.

Too many injuries have fucked us over simple as that. Having to play Senior centre half is just getting desperate. Dont think any team in country could cope with at least 11 first team players being out injured never mind us not even having team chemistry together on top of this. Our luck is just a joke

Rochdale bringing on a 16 year old RB at half time. We aren’t special. Rochdale are poor but we looked incapable of creating chances against them. Injuries definitely hurting us. But it’s more than that. We are playing out from the back but not good enough to do so and create anything.

They aren't bringing on a sixteen-year-old at half-time because of an injury crisis. They're bringing him on because he's good enough to play, as I suspect you well know.

I think I agree with you about the way we're trying, and failing, to set up, though.

They have injuries too. But putting Graham as the attacking midfield player was odd. He worked hard but he’s a more defensive type. The wide players aren’t working, Politic doesn’t look comfortable on the right and the Stoke lad has no left foot. Way we are setting up and trying to play is not right.

They have players out injured too, but we're uniquely unplaced to cope with even the regular number of players picking up injuries, never mind the number we have out as things stand.

I agree with the rest of your post, though. If we're playing Politic at all, I'd be tempted to play him through the middle. And Graham looked quite a distance off being ready today, which is no great crime given his age. With the players we had available to us today, I think we might've been better playing more direct.

On the whole I didn't think we were too bad. Don't get me wrong, lots of room for improvement but there's the makings of a decent side there. Ultimately three defensive fuck ups cost us. First goal was far too easy getting the ball I to feet in the box, the second two was a case of our defenders backing off and backing off.

Only other real gripe is we're far too dependant on our left hand side. It was crying out to switch over to the right..  and when we did, hey presto, we scored.

Missed Bridcutt terribly today, but we need to get over that quickly.
