FA Cup 2023/24

I think £20 seems a little steep, considering every other home cup game this season was priced at £10. No disrespect to Luton intended but they are a PL club in name only.

Having paid for ticket and travel to Leyton Orient the Saturday after it was always a no for me this one.

However I do think that even a £10, not a chance we were shifting close to 20k for it. 13-14k max, I feel this at £20 will be 8-9k.

I'm intrigued as to what fans think a "community club" actually means.

Whichever way it is viewed, the club has to stand on its own feet to be viable. If not there is no community club at all.

We have very good value season tickets, and are heading in the right direction financially.

The hierarchy have a decision to make, and have still offered a reduced cost ticket.

Of course costs to fans at a busy time is always a consideration, and some will give certain ones a miss. Even at a tenner some will choose not to attend, especially with parking, food etc.

We must lose a bit on pizza games, and I suppose that's not something that they feel we can continue to do.

Not sure why you are mentioning Pizza games when this is an FA cup game ?

My post that you have quoted was a direct response to Casino who was saying that Neil Hart is only concerned about the money. But if we are a 'community club' there has to be more thought given to the wider issues. Of course we are a business and financial performance is always going to be essential, but we have stopped taking money from gambling firms for non commercial reasons for instance.

£1 £5 £10, still wouldn't be anywhere near 20k

Club are only opening lower tiers so far, that is 13k seats so they are not expecting many.

13k at average price of £15 is £195k even before costs that is less than £100k each club. Luton get £2.2m for each place in EPL, can not see them being bothered about pricing.

I'm perfectly aware of your post's reasonings.

The pizza cup comments are clearly pertinent because of the reason I outlined- not wanting to lose money. You can surely understand that.

The gambling aspect you make is relevant, as is the fact that prices have been reduced for this game too. That is clearly in recognition that full price wouldn't be appropriate.

That is evidence of "giving thought to wider issues" as you say.

Whether it's enough, is obviously open to debate, however there seems to be a creeping criticism of the ownership that seemingly ignores their efforts and beneficial change they have brought to the club.

Each to their own, but I find moaning about a reduced price of £20 for a match against a premier league club bizarre. It's a reasonable price, but if folk can't afford it, fine, just don't attend. We all free to make that decision.

We all free to make that decision. I personally have not moaned about the price, my point is that it is not purely commercial decisions the club makes. Surely a bit more imagination say a family ticket for £40 would be better than saying 'if you can not afford it do not come.'

Replies above.

Jesus christ, moaning at £20 price tickets....scruffy fuckers.

Think if we had chance of big club in next round people would be snapping tickets up.

Just got the majority of our Luton train tickets refunded as we missed connections due to delays and cancellations.

Down there 30 mins late but back an hour early - 8PM.

Caught earlier trains on the way back as we noticed our train via Kettering was cancelled and it was the last one that day. Thankfully no scans all the way back on the 3 trains - very lucky.
