I’d much prefer us going to Blackpool than Wigan tbh.

I wouldn't. Our last 2 home games against Wigan have made me absolutely dread meeting them at Wembley.

Wigan got nowt else they will go for this competition

It's their Cup Final when they play us in the League, never mind in an actual Cup Final.

They're 18th, and 4 points above the drop.

Should Cambridge get a point from their game in hand, Wigan will drop to 19th.

I don't think they'll drop, but they've certainly got plenty to play for in the league.

There’s 4 worst teams than Wigan in this league, they’ll be fine unfortunately

I think so too. Nevertheless it would be foolish if they believed they were too good to go.

Maybe someone will come in for their better players..

Agreed.  If they drop points at Northampton tomorrow, with Reading and Cambridge having very winnable home games, they could be a point above the drop zone before a 6 pointer with Reading next week.  They won't go down, but if we were in their position I'd be feeling twitchy and just making sure there was at least a 6 point gap before thinking about winning cups.

Slipping out to Blackpool would be no drama, plenty of rotation again

I wouldn't be against a Blackpool v Peterbrough final if we do lose. Give them 2 something else to think about and increase their work load

Two chances in the next few weeks to end the 46 year wait for a win at Gloomfield Road. I hope we make it count. Preferably on both occasions.

When does the draw stop being geographic?

Will we play wigan in SF as a northern final like last year v Accrington and then play the winners of the Southern SF or will the SFs be a free for all?

Last year wasn't necessarily a regional draw at that stage I don't think. We could have drawn Plymouth or Cheltenham rather than Accy then.

I assume this year is the same albeit with 1 more upcoming round of regional games.

Plenty of posts on it above, but to save you trawling back, this is the last regional draw. The semi final is not geographic.

Last season the quarters and semi final were not geographic. We played Pompey at home in the quarters.

The 7pm kick offs seem to have disappeared this season. More likely to be half 7 or 7.45. Don’t think they’re televised until the semi final.

I think Blackpool's last game kicked off at 7pm, I don't know why.

A question for those who are interested in this Mickey Mouse cup shite.........Would you go to Wembley if we were playing against an under 21 side ?

Head says no. Heart says it would be a very tough decision.
