Toal would get beat for pace.

Ashworth is streets ahead IMO. I think Ashworth has been relegated to 4th choice now, or possibly 3rd if Iredale is only considered for CB. I don't think any of them are far ahead of the others. Ogbeta has something going forward as shown by a couple of assists, he has a bit of the Ricky Gardeners about him, a lot of flair and unpredictability. Ashworth seems more solid and reliable, and has a goal in him, but plays the game at a slower pace. Williams can throw the ball a long way and is the best at following up penalties that have been saved.

Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted March 10 Site Supporter Share Posted March 10 Ashworth plays at a slower pace? Kinell, he may not be able to run as fast as others, but from what I've seen he's a more rounded player, with a decent footballing brain. Him or Ogbeta for me. captainmed
I’m not so sure it’s about who plays where anymore. It’s the fragile mentality that needs addressing and it will be severely tested here. Edited March 10 by captainmed

Rizlar
What gets me is Evatt goes on about how himself and Markham do due diligence on signing new players so is having a total lack of bottle and unable to concentrate for a full game part of the process because the whole squad is culpable. Also what do they do in training ?

And just my take on it, yes he plays at a slower pace, not a criticism, just style of play, like Santos.

Now we have and we can’t stop conceding. Charles wasn't scoring and needed a rest anyway apparently. I accept we are now light up top but if you can keep a clean sheet you’re half way there. We can’t. It’s just one excuse after the other, justified by injuries. Winners find a way to win. Edited March 10 by captainmed

Mounts Kipper
I can see us dropping to 4th over the next 2 games, certainly it’s difficult to see us going 2nd given the 2 tough upcoming games, if we don’t get the positive results in the next 2,might be better if we coast into the play offs and use the next 6 weeks to not rush anyone back, rest key players and a complete reset for the play offs. Whitestar
Yeah it'll be Barnsley in the playoffs again, only difference will be the away leg 1st 1-1 and 0-0 at home and we lose on penalties 😡
Rizlar
It baffles me that our play relies on our wing backs getting forward and yet IE and Markham have still to sign a competent LWB every 1 they have signed as limitations ?
