Listened on the wireless

McGinlay and Dearden saying Bod should have easily scored. Reading it was a worldie save. Which one? Or a bit of both?

Worldie save for me. Not sure Bod could’ve done more.

No complaints from me, wasn't a great game but we were the better team.

We showed up, we gave them a hard game, we can't finish but we know that.

Lots of time wasting from Derby and they got lucky with the goal (offside in build up to corner) but that's how it goes.

If we stick at it and keep up them performances we could win every game, others will F*** up, keep the faith.COYWM.

Not seen a replay but from where I was sat it looked a good save but no way he shouldn't have put that away.

I'm gutted lads, how long can we keep saying it'll come good as long as we put the chances away that we create. I love the lot of them, and will back them til the death, but Jesus Christ

Just another disappointing away  game where the result does not reflect the performance. But it is not unlucky it is same as so many other games - Northampton, Wigan , Exeter even Blackpool.

I do not want Evatt to fuck off but I do not want to hear his bullshit.

1% more tenacity it's in the net. There's no goals in the bloke.

Collins is a link up man but he's linking up with Bod who there's no goals in.

Games like today need a match winner, a bit of inspiration, class or knack for winning.

We don't have that.

Best team on the park, but two front men that can't score.

Only Dion can save us.

No team is going to rollover for them or any other club. They will drop points of that I'm certain

Yes they will drop points, but so will we.  We aren't getting 5 more points than them given 3 of our's are against top teams.

We played well but that game had 1-0 Derby written all over it from the first 10 minutes, we were never going to keep a clean sheet and once Bod's header is saved, everything seemed half hearted and lacking conviction.

So frustrating that we play these teams away (all 5 from Blackpool onwards), they all look inferior to us but we come away with 2 points instead of a minimum 10 that would have reflected the balance of the games.

Great save, Bod did nothing wrong.

We've had hardly any headers on target all season from open play, I can only recall Toal's winner at Lincoln and Bod's had 3 good one's - Pompey (the one Charles missed rebound from), great header and superb save when it was 0-0 on Tuesday (given offside in the end), and today's.  He offers that and its unbelievable he hasn't scored any.

Agree, great reaction save

Yeah great reaction save, but Bod had to do more there. Had to direct it to the corner.

So frustrating as on the whole played well, but we don't shoot enough and don't have any threat at set pieces. Set pieces especially are the difference between us getting to the automatics. Basically easy goals we're not getting

Honestly can’t fault them. Worked their nuts off and did everything but score. Such a soft goal to concede but it was the only way we were losing that game.

Just listening to Radio Derby on the way out and Warne is talking of not fancying facing us in the play offs, work that one out!

Don’t think anyone will fancy us

After the Blackpool and Wigan games I was completely fucked off with the gutless performance's but today I thought we played well and with a bit of luck we would have taken the 3 points.Im still baffled by how poor Derby were but sometimes you don't get what you deserve

I'm not sure how today was different to Wigan? (I can't take the Blackpool one seriously because of the ref).  And I'm not saying any of the performances were gutless, that's your description, I thought we were a combination of unlucky and poor in front of goal in all 3 including Blackpool.  Today no better than Wigan surely - most of the play, not much threat of scoring, poor defending for their first chance of the 2nd half.  And repeat, not got worse but not improved, its what we do away from home.

They were shit & we were shit imo, not one of our players had a good game.

Utter bollocks , Its another Wigwam . We were the better team , we got beat . It happens . but if thats the best they can offer then fuckin hell there will be at least one team below us when we go up.

Don't care about Dions stats before his injury but the amount of games he's missed has screwed us as we just don't have a goal poacher in our team. There's no one with that instinct in the five yard box. Thought that Derby were average at best today and wouldn't be scared of playing them again. Can see them dropping points away from home. Is it two more wins that guarantees a playoff spot?

Yes today imo was much better than Wigan. At Wigan it was sideways, backwards, today at least we tried to get it in the box at a much quicker rate and according to the table Derby are a much better side than Wigan although I thought derby were poor

Not read the whole thread so forgive me for repeating what others may have said, but...

Derby are 2nd in the league, but really aren't all that and were there for the taking.
We created very little, though and Bodvarsson should have scored.
We didn't deserve to lose, but I'm not sure we did enough to deserve a win either.
Big games are decide by fine margins ((c) O. Coyle) and Bod missed, whilst they took advantage of one of the two free headers they were given off set plays (missed one in first half)
After the Gayle substitution, we suddenly abandoned the good build-up play and started to go long bypassing Maghoma & Sheehan, who were running the game at that point.

I think we could have played all night and not scored, but we've conceded a typical Bolton goal by failing to mark up at corners; another soft avoidable goal conceded by our trio of centre halves. I like Toal, but he was just not at the races today.

Take our top striker out of the team, and we are bottom half in the form table over the last 6.

We may be, not seen the table, but we dominated them today for long periods, only got 4 points from our last 3 it really should have been 9. The encouraging thing for me is we seem to have got our mojo back after struggling for form a few weeks back. Strange but I feel more confident than ever that we will go up, even if it’s via the play offs.

I think we can.

If that Derby County team is the second best in that division I'll eat hay with the donkey. It's time for bollox, who's got em eh??? Come on i reckon we can still do it and im one if the most sceptical kicked in the nads , seen it all before Bolton fans you could meet.
