Of all the fixtures we've had to endure during our demise this is the worst for me

I hate it

Home or away

Just shite

The 0-0 at home on Sky on the Monday night was horrific. And I was nursing a full-day hangover after faceplanting in Newcastle the night before.

The away game week before the Wilbraham game. Eek.

And that last game before Covid was one of the most surreal nights of my life.

2-0 win this weekend, Charles & Dempsey

Don't stand near anyone and whatever you do, don't touch ANYTHING!

Burton always ceases to amaze me, feel like it should be a decent away but it's consistently awful. At least this seasons is a saturday again as it stands, might make a difference.

Still yet to do it as a boozy away day. Even the two Saturday games I’ve done there have been a case of having to drive for one reason or another.

What will be a fifth visit this season is fucking ridiculous given the relative size of the clubs. Well aware that I’ll get ripped apart on Brewers Ways for that, but I remember them going to Leigh RMI as newly promoted Conference upstarts ffs.

Yeah that first time we went there was one of a few places we've been in recent years where I've thought let's get this ticked off while we can, and we've ended up playing them time after time (hello Accrington). Sick of sight of it, and them 2 pint pots they sell in the pub next door can fuck off and all.

Derby fan at work has these as his second team he used go watching them when they were basically a village team and his mates played for them!

As a few have mentioned Burton should be a decent but been 3 times and awful

1. The Parky game when you could not actually get back on the terrace. We were awful. People attacking (or trying to) Parky.

2 The night game when they scored the same goal three times in 15 minutes by lumping a high ball at Declan John and then scoring from the subsequent corner of throw in.  Road out of Burton was closed took hours to get home

3 Last year when it blew a gale,  drew, Santos got injured. When we arrived terrace was packed, but there was an empty section. Steward told us that was not open yet. Why not ? ' I dunno ' he replied but no one can stand there till 10 minutes before kick off.

My son Isaac is the mascot on Saturday. I think I'm even more excited that he is!

So if you see a suave, sophisticated, well dressed, dusky, sunkissed guy on the pitch before the game. That'll be me. Or Phil Brown.

He will be to blame if we lose.

The highlight of last time was the fact that I managed to park on the grass verge right outside the stadium and was on the road home 5 mins after the game ended.

Weirdly we had something similar with the terrace on that night game. Missed the first 5 minutes arguing with the stewards as none of us would let us through any of the entrances. Ended up being escorted to the disabled bit at the front so had a prime view of each set piece disaster.

Played them 11 times. Lost 5, drawn 4 won 2.

Never beat them by more than 1 goal, never won at theirs.

But think we won last 2 at home.

I've been to the last 3 and not enjoyed any of them! That 3-1 game was terrible, 20mins of them bombarding us and then it was game over.

Can't remember which is which of the last two 1-1 draws, but they both reminded me of watching Sunday league. Need to get out of this league to not be playing the likes of Burton - just can't get excited by tomorrow's game.

Congrats mate. I thought you'd be in orange robes with Jesus sandals? Have times changed?

Home game season before last was one of the last times we made game changing subs, 0-1 down with 10 mins or so left, they were shithousing for fun, Baka and Bod on, turned it round, injury time winner.

Vic played for them in that one, alongside Davis Keillor-Dunn. Remember thinking both of them were decent in their own ways in an otherwise really poor side

Just discovered this is a home game. Worst thing is I thought, ‘ah bollocks’

I’m really struggling to be arsed

Don't go then. I'm not, in fact I'm actively looking forward to not going.

I always had faith that we could turn you ;):D

Each to their own like but not sure I like the sound of 'Isaac Kent'.

He's named after Isaac Newton.
